How to be closer to Allah?

I really aspire to be closer to him and share an even more warm relationship with him.

I already believe in Allah, Pray to him and seek his help/guidance at times of need and distress and be thankful to him for all his nemats. Yet i have this want in me to have a stronger faith in him which enables me to take anything and everything that is coming my way as a challenge by him and with a trust that he shall make it pass for me. I don’t want to complain to anyone and he shall take care of it.

What do i need to have this level of faith? How many of you have experienced this for yourself?

That kind of faith is achieved by those who are known as Waliullah. I am not saying that you cannot achieve that level , you can , how ? Read about well known waliullahs like Hazrat Data Gunj Bakhsh. Hazrat Rabia Basri(RA) , Hazrat Hasan Basri(RA) , Hazrat Khawaja Moinuddin (RA) and many more.
Sufism can help you achieve that level. It is a very difficult path .
I am a normal human being. I do get off the track from time to time and I have strong faith in Allah(SWT) mercy.

**this closeness to Allah comes thru 'taqwa' and taqwa comes slowly-steadily [ba-tadreej] if someone strives for it. to achieve that you have to align ur iimaan with amal [deeds] in terms of thought, actions and intentions. all actions are based on intentions. your intentions must be purely for Allah's happiness. think of Allah as your maHboob and to achieve His love, you have to completely negate urself.

When you read Quran, many a time you'll notice Allah saying that he is always with us, he sees everything we do. It's true, Allah created humans with his spirit, he taught the spirit conscience, he taught the spirit morality.

Allah's noor is encompassing the earth and space, and everything in between. It's always going through us. Our soul is a particle of his noor. But soul is very gentle and humble, it never forces itself on us, it lets our body and mind do whatever they want. The soul gives us free will. We never really pay attention to what soul is saying. The nafs is our open enemy, it pushes the soul in a corner, doesnt let it take over.

When we unite with our soul, we unite with God, then we can do wonders in the world. Then you can become superman, spiderman, Mr. Incredible, The hero, Rumi, Jinah, Gandhi, edhi, the good don, hatim tai, Birbal. You can quietly do you work, inside u will be an ocean of wonders. But you cant tell anyone, because it is incomprehensible to a normal mind.

You taste the heaven when you are living, because when you fight against your nafs and die fighting on the right path, it doesnt matter whether you live or die. You go beyond time and space. Because soul is noor, its not matter.

When the body unites with the soul, thats the Mairaj of a human. You find God, you find heaven, thats where prophets are, thats where their families are, thats where their companions are. Thats the reason and purpose of life.

Mairaj is the highest level of heaven, even angels are not that close to God, because humans go there with their free will.

WaliALLAH, Fakir, Buzurg, Roohani Pir, Spiritual person who knows about soul and how to tame it and how to make it strong through zikr-e-Illahi etc.

it's a risky path because it's hard to find a peer-e-kaamil. chances are you will end up with the phony ones who will exploit you and destroy you.

Dont go look for a pir/faqeer. Just ardently search for guidance. See God in everything around you. Feel the thirst of your soul. Talk to Him often in whatever language you speak.

God will slowly and gradually guide you. The next book you read, the next movie you watch, the person you meet in the grocery store, they will all give you clues.

God is very wise, he knows how to guide a person who is looking for it. Also, the good souls will guide you, they are all around us, Prophets, saints, and sages dont die.

Moreover, when your start connecting with the soul, or when you give strength to the soul, it will speak to you through your intuition, thats the voice of God.

Please reply, I said what I said because theses people are quietly doing their work, it's difficult to spot them. The ones that make the guidance a business, are not usually on the right track. I would like to hear what you have to say, I see wisdom in your speech.
