esp when you are meeting the guy/girl?
Would you be yourself? or make sure you put on an act in order to give them an impression of you which they are wanting but is different from your real self? OR would you play safe; in between?

Re: How to act in rishta meetings?
Be subdued and listen more than you talk. It's better to observe and then act, rather than to go in with a plan of action.
Re: How to act in rishta meetings?
I don't like the idea of pretending someone else who you are not. We should be real US. If we start our relationship with lies.. how could he/she believe us after marriage. Let him fall in love with real you....
Re: How to act in rishta meetings?
I pretend to be Malika Noor Jehan.
Re: How to act in rishta meetings?
being one's own self is much better and practical too. Pretence cannot work in the long run.

Don't pretend anything but better to show your flexibility in all matters. Don't hide your true character, nature, habits etc but try to be accomodating to your future partner's needs (as the person can be your future partner and guys do look for understanding and flexibility in girls). Don't open up too soon. Let the guys ask the questions first and answer them in easy and relaxed manner. First try to observe the guy and his needs and requirements and if you think you can be flexible for any of his requirements, do try to convey that.

Soo...in conclusion, be a mat and let the guy walk all over you even before you give him a chance to know you.
How about, you be yourself? Tell the guy about your thoughts, your views. If he wants a pushover then he can find plenty. If you're not ok with being a pushover, then don't be. You're trying to figure out him as much as he's trying to figure you out. If he doesn't seem ok to you, then adios.

Telling about yourself is good but after you get to know about him because then you can decide how much you can accomodate his views. Otherwise why waste your and his time. Its very difficult to find the perfect compatibility so we should be prepared to compromise. I am not saying to fake our personality and character while talking to a guy but on issues like being a housewife or working wife, shifting to other country after marriage etc, its better to know what he thinks and if its very different from your thinking and plans, just stop everything there and then. If you are flexible enough to meet such requirements, do convey this clearly to him. For example, some guys would like their wives to be house wives and if I don't mind leaving my job after marriage, it would be good to convey this to him but only after I get to know his preference for a house wife. Knowing his views first will enable me to identify the issues for which I am flexible and the issues on which I cannot compromise. Being yourself and being flexible are not mutually exclusive. We can be ourselves while being flexible and can adjust to any idea presented by the guy.
These are just my views and I think this way a girl can consider a guy on the basis of the differences in their views and opinions while allowing a little bit of flexibility.
