With productivity going through the roof, what does that portend for the economy? Will this be deflationary, as more people get laid off, and wages go Southie?

When you have high unemployment employers squeeze the employees for more work and productivity goes up. With current job numbers and inflationary pressures are on the horizon and with Yellen leaning towards hawkishness seems like productivity will go down. DT thinking of improving ISM manufacturing nos but not gunna happen.. 10 trillion Dollar bond market pointing to Trump impeachment and hence the 10 yr bond yield curve easing..lol

I thought the 10 yr spiked abt a week back and is now near it’s highs.
With unemployment low fed expected to tighten to curb inflation.

By easing I meant by the rate of increase, it was closer to 1.4 before Nov then rocketed up with Trump election then hovered around the 2.5 range

Brilliant thread. I managed to notes for my upcoming exams today. Helped my mom with making pizza and now going to work for an hour on my paper.

Had a really productive morning so far, hiked around 8 k along the river behind our house, it is melting unusually early. Geese are coming back and the valley was humming with the chirp of all kinds of birds
