p.s this was with gas and air only, so no epi or anything...it is all about the breathing and pushing when the midwife tells you, and stopping when she says stop.

My first birth labour lasted 4 days .. two days at home, where they told me come back when the pain is severe which I did. Then 2 days in hospital where I was lying in this room at mercy of over worked midwives and doctors. The pain was there but the birth was not proceeding. That time was horrible, I would never wish this to even my enemies.
The next 2 were quicker but never the less epidural for all my births as my body doesnt proceed with the birth and it can take days and day which is exausting.
Oh yes its painful, better to be prepared for it, even with epi they dont give it to you as you walk in the hospital, they wait till they see how you are proceeding, for the 3 birth, I had to beg and beg for it and then atlast a sleepy doctor came to insert it, which was a drama of its own.

it can, but give u as medical assistance to speed up the process, dunno what its called.

For me it actually sped up the process. It just depends on your body. For me I went in for a regular checkup and found out during the ultrasound that my amniotic fluid was all gone! I was already full term so they induced me and well all went well till the pushing. I pushed 4 hours and ended up with a c-section. And anyone whose pushed... well they know 4 hours of pushing is horrific! lol! But it's all worth it when they hand you your little bundle of joy :)

^ same with my aunt. she was in so much pain and she kept clenching so the birth just didn't progress. after about 12 hours or so she finally got the epi, and she was so relieved and calmed down enough that her body responded much better and quicker and the baby was in out in a couple of hours.

mine was with me every minute from start to finish AH, all the way from the check-up which kick started the whole process through labor and C-section delivery. i was in hosp for 3 nights after delivery and he stayed with me and the baby at night while mum did mornings and mil did evenings after her work.

During the really early parts at home I made him nap cause I knew it was the beggining and I wanted him to be well rested. But as soon as the contractions started picking up he was with me the whole time, the whole 24 hours it took. The only time he wasn't with me was when I got the epidural....he even refused to go get something to eat...he kept saying "what if the baby comes, and I miss it cause I'm stuffing my face" :)

Ek baat pls mujhe batao aap sab sach sach…is it true that the childbirth hurts 100X more than the periods pain 
? cuz that’s what my mom says to me everytime i complain about it and i think she’s over exagerating it but she seems serious at times :(. But if it is true, mein tu marr hi jaongi

Lets not even compare the two.
I was so tired and exhausted after I came home and had no help and I thought I’ll lose my baby because he was soooo sick. I had a major breakdown. My husband’s job didn’t give him off days for all this so I was pretty much by myself (although he was up all night so I could sleep for few hours and then he’ll went to work in the morning). I was seriously pissed at my home for not booking an earlier ticket (my baby came 2 weeks early). She said I gave birth to you without any kind of pain relief and pitocin. I think we are so lucky to have all kind of pain relives now. I can’t imagine feeling tear in the skin… just scary.

I bet it hurts but It must be manageable, otherwise no one would have a second child.

I have mashaAllah 4 kids. :)
One out of all 4 ...one was c-section (3rd baby)due to preterm labour and baby's position. Alhamdulillah I never had epidural.
Overall quite painful experience to say the least , but I'll never opt for a c-section or epidural. Infact epi scares me too much. I had help of my mom n mil only first time ...hubby was with me twice n at the time of c-section i was alone...she was pre-mature n hubs was out of station ...but thanks to Almighty, Who helped me go through everything quite well.
