BB...sorry but...you do already text each other everyday for an hour PLUS emails every week right. If he wants to call, he will. You're waiting impatiently over it and then arguing and getting upset and he apologizing AND the cycle repeating itself... leads nowhere.. Don't wait for his call, he will when he wants to! And when he does, do not tell that you ought to more! You will have him iA for the rest of your life. Plus it's not that you're going a month without contact at all.
Ok so i'm not engaged so I don't know but from the experience of having a friend who has been engaged for more than 6 years and they talk for hours and hours, and text all day...for 6 years and still no idea when they will get married; i'm just left to wonder what's left to talk then for after marriage??

I know I shouldn't be complaining. But talking over the phone somehow feels more real as opposed to texting. We mostly email about things that are important about the marriage-process or if we have arguments/issues which we do seem to have a lot more of now. So instead of texting (he thinks more misunderstandings arise if we text about an issue we disagree upon), so he will resort to email and send me a long concise email about the issue . He has even kept a log on his phone on all the arguments we have had and the cause of it so he can look at it once in a while and remind himself to prevent it in the future yet still NO calls for a month or two and I go crazy on him again and he feels bad for disappointing me again. I know I shouldn't make an issue out of it and appreciate having someone like him in my life but somehow it still gets to me. If I don't remind him, he wont call me for months. Then when I do remind him after a huge fight, he tries calling and I won't pick up the phone. Why is making just a stupid little phone call such a big issue to him, or why do guys forget these small little things that matter to their significant other.

lolzzzzzzzzzzzz omg i was the same b4 marriage too... we used to talk at every opportunity, really dont remember wat was said, usually small un-intersting things like "im going on my lunch break what should i eat?" LOL ahh... simple times!

well i used to call my finance daily. .we talked like few hours about nothing :omg: i was crazy … as she was in Italy .. so calling on her cell phone cost me ass & dime. it was like 30c a minute..if i count my phone bill for year 2010 .. it must be in thousands of $$$ .. . :smack:

don’t do this mistake people, let’s go with the tradition of not talking 24/7 and make all the plans before marriage.. leave something open and let the fate decide it :chai:

It must have been some interesting “talk” that gets yoy hot… Scratch that as i still can’t get do it for that long. You guys didn’t eat or most importantly sleep? I pity that guy.

pehle har roz tha phir ek din chor ke ek din baat hone lagi ab wapis har roz hoti hai. its sooooooo boring talking to the same person everyday woh bhi ghante se zaida. i never call bas kabhi kabhar text halka sa....jis din uski call nahi ati mujhe sakoon ata hai.

we talk about various things food, pakistan, politics, system, movies-dramas, religion, jobs, education, cricket etc etc.

My fiancee and I talk on skype all the time, it's so convenient! Ours was arranged too but we clicked instantly and I've felt super comfortable with him from the beginning. We got to meet before getting engaged, he lives in a different country but came to visit for 3 days and we got engaged about a month later. In the beginning we used to talk everyday, sometimes for 5-6 hours at a time. The conversation would flow so easily between us and there was so much to talk about I never even noticed the time. But at that time I wasn't working, now I have a job so we talk probably an hour a day and more on the weekends. We text and email too but not as much, I find that misunderstandings can occur much easily in writing.

Plus after the initial excitement stage we decided it's not good to talk TOO much because then you develop this relationship over technology which is completely different from real life. Then when you're actually married it's a huge reality check and you keep comparing back to how things were when you were engaged, which can make things difficult because maintaing a relationship over phone/internet is much easier than in real life. That being said, it's so hard to keep the talking to a minimum!!
