guess what, its really not that difficult hiding something if you really want to, so all these "investigations" are probably more trouble than they're worth.

haha! yeah i realized that afterwords! i think a lot of us when we suggest something speak from hindsight...and go to the other extreme, which maybe impractical. And your right, if someone really wants to hide something they can do it, are not worth that much trouble.

I think if a guy is coming over to see a girl, the girl's parents should ask questions about the education, job, location, and family. The girl should ask the guy in private how much he makes and then tell the parents later on (if they are concerned with it). But sometimes just hearing the education and job is enough for the parents... they can guess if it's stable job and have an idea of a salary range. Assets is way too personal... the guy isn't a bank account. If he makes a decent amount of money in which he can afford a house and car, there's no need to be concerned with the assets. Previous marriages and relationships aren't that hard to find out about if you ask around within the community.

It's not hard to get information, it's just a matter of actually doing a thorough investigation... asking around, fb, background checks, etc. If you read the unfortunate rishtas thread, just typing up the person's name in Google can be enough to reject/accept them. It's a simple and free background check in itself, it's just that some people don't take advantage of all these resources.

nah sister i am not going to ask any girl for virginity test. Just b/c i say certain things here doesnt mean i'll ask girls in real life. just having a lil fun.
