Then they’d question their son and would do the same thing to him. I’m kinda getting tired of pretending to be a subdued DIL. But I don’t wanna come across as an arrogant and snobby.

not giving a befitting reply to someone when you are capable of doing so are the signs of bravery & self-control and not being subdued.
