I,m looking to purchase a laptop(only to use internet) on ebay and some of them have got 6gb Hard drive capacity. Please can you tell me if this computer would be ok?

I really don't think this will be a good computer even just for Internet. Hard drive size is ok for Internet use only, but the speed/memory is way too low.

6.4 gb is fine, but the processor speed is only 266 MHz, which would be slow to allow for the newer technologies that are available out there. Depending on your budget, in my opinion you should go for atleast 1 GHz or above so you can run Windows 2000 or Win XP. You can always add memory later.

So how much would it cost roughly to get this stuff added on? And could I do it myself? Im rubbish with technical stuff on computers as you can tell.

Only 128 MB RAM? It should AT LEAST be 512 these days, if not 1024.

My suggestion is to not get something with such specs. This is a very slow/old computer and will cost you more to upgrade the cpu/memory than buying a better one. Don’t buy this one, seriously.

if you are getting that laptop for say ... $20 .. then its okay ... else forget it .. go for a new one ... Laptop's have become cheap now-a-days so ...
