So how much Eidi do you folks give to your own kids and to other kids, when they come visit you on Eid or when you go to the eid namaz at the masjid? Do you give cash or gifts?

This is going to my daughter's first eid Insha Allah and I'll be buying a gift (toy) for her as eidi.
Other than that, I give a candy box and 100 Rs to each kid as eidi.

we always give cash.. its the true essence of eid :D
we buy kids gifts for bdays and new yrs and waise bhi... but eid is just money.
our son got $200 for his first eid from the paternal grandparents and $200from his nana nani. his mamoos gave him $100 each. he was a rich kid and all taht money went into his savings account :D
i dont know what he is gonna get this yr.
as for teh husband and i... for some odd reason our value as human beings has gone up ever since we got married.. before marriage i would get 500 riyals (which is roughly $133) from the folks and husband would get the same from his folks... but after we got together, we get $1000 from my folks and $500 from his :D
since im second eldest, i only get eidi from bhaijaan... and i get $100 from him.
my husband only has one sis who lives in canada and one nephew.. so he trasnfers eidi into her account for both her and the hubby.. we send $100 for them both and $100 for their son (that was his first eidi)... for my own siblings... the younger one gets $50 and the other one gets $100.
as for eidi for kids that are in our social circle (8 kids)... its 50 kroner each (about $9 :D ... thankfully you can get a whole lot for 50 kroner than you can with $ 9 ) :D
so ya... eidi for the family is way more than eidi for kids in our social circle.

$1 for everyone under 10 at the eid namaz in masjid and since I am a Sunday school teacher and all kids know me, it usually comes up around $50-$60.. friends and aunties all get churiyan and I get that supply of churiyan from Pakistan (about 20-30 different sets).
For my 4 nephews I usually just send $100-200 and they can buy whatever they want :-)
For my friends children, I give them a gift and $5-10 for eidi and they are all under 5 years of age!!
Looks like I am the cheapest one here.. I wonder what do kids think of me :(

nothing.. kids arent like grown ups... dont measure ones love out of what they get.. thats why they are so pure and so is their love... just the fact taht they are getting something from you is enough.. i bet they are all trying to add up how many gum balls they can get from the gumball machine :D

Used to be $20 for nieces and nephews...but had to bring it down to $10 ever since I lost my job. This is one of the things that I'm looking forward to when I'm employed again, Inshallah...increasing my eidi and spoiling the kids as is the duty of every aunt. :)

I have an Eid dinner at my home on the day after Eid, have about 10-12 kids coming over… so do you think $10 per kid would be okay? My husband is saying go get some toys costing around $10 but that will be too much effort I think, shopping for so many toys 
…
I was initially thinking $20 but hubby dear is not agreeing… he says $10 is more appropriate… although most of the people coming over are close friends… so what do you think? $20 or $10? or maybe $15

MIA - my friend makes net pouches for EID and decorates them with ribbon - She puts some snack candy in there and adds $10 per child in the pouch.

^ That's what i do...i buy little favor bags from Hobby Craft..add sweets and little chocolates and put the money in there and give it to each child. I don't like handing money just like that to children. =/
