Well, Nomi Pai…to get a more approximate answer, you will first have to get your wife’s age at the time of marriage…and then you will have to ask Allah at what age the woman (martyr, bechari) will be cheking out of this world. Calculate the number of years she’d be alive on Earth…and take that number and multiply it by an estimate of the average yearly cost to maintain a wife. That shall give you a more clearer picture. :slight_smile:

Google suggests that you should first calculate (if you can) the cost of her contributions to your marriage and family, her support, and her suffering. The premise being "Ladies first"...and you of course being a gentleman would agree, I'm sure.

I am not asking to put $ figure on it.....like my first post.......just the different 'items of expense'....rest will depend on the variables you mentioned....

The title of your post is misleading. you are more for the average needs (basic tangible items?) of a middle class housewife.
well ok i'll play but as you might know already ... cant really define an average need either.
for example ... i know of middle class women in usa that have or routinely undergo procedures (like laser hair removal, botox, facelifts etccc) as regular par of their maintenance. paid for by their husbands btw.
then there are others ... who don't even buy any hair removal products and make a concoction of honey, sugar, lemon to do the hair removal at home.

see the problem?
