what i don’t understand is…why are women so hesitant to answer the question??

There is always talk of ‘financial security’ from the female posters here, and it is always ‘appropriate’ to think/talk about how much does the guy earn etc etc…
but somehow the question i asked (which is essentially the same…about financial secuity) seems to have touched some wrong sorta nerve here…

not a single woman has actually tried to answer the question!!!

…instead all that is talked about is, how i shouldn’t be even thinking/asking about financial matters or how important a wife’s contribution is or how wife always co-perates, or i should go ask my mom (i never saw people advising others to talk to their mom about MIL,husband issues…since everyone’s mom is married,has had in-laws issues etc etc )…

those aren’t even the questions being asked… unless,offcouse, someone has a problem with the premise of my question (about guy being able to afford the expenses)…

so my question is…why wouldn’t the ladies answer the question?? its not like they don’t know what expenses are involved/paid for by the husband (in case of married ones)…

I agree to what you are saying 100 percent in this post. I did not quote the second post to undermine your effort to come up with a price tag on providing a comfortable middle class life to a wife.
I quoted the article in second post to encourage women folks to not do what you are pointing out in this post of yours and be honest in telling what their take on the issue is and feel proud to put a price tag on their wants and needs as a middle class wife.
You are pointing fingers to women for getting offended at the question but the tone of this post tells me that you got offended with me quoting the article I quoted.
