This question came up after reading a guppies journal entry.
I’m wondering if I spend too much money on myself every month, for food.
I dont mean to pry but I’d just like to get some idea on how much you spend on food every week or every month. Or even if you only know the daily amount that you spend (approximately).
Please state whether the amount is spending for just one person, two, or more.
I have classes three days a week and I’m there all day, so I tend to have at least one meal (and snacks and drinks :() per day. I dont’ like to bring food from home, so I eat out. Eating out over here tends to be kinda expensive/inconvenient etc. (it’s too cold to go outside to get something, cafeteria is overcrowded and expensive as well).
US $125 (2 adults, 2 babies) each week on groceries... just the regular stuff, nothing fancy. We take a home made lunch to work (usually dinner leftovers) else lunch (sandwich and a soda) is atleast 10 everyday. We eat out atleast one night a week which is 50 minimum. If we entertain that week, add another 75-100 for that week.
yeah, living is more expensive here than in U.S...you will realize that once you start living here and then you can compare the prices for the exact same stuff..even with the difference in the currencies, U.S. still offers cheaper prices for us Canadians.
Family of five...(two adults, 3 kids)
we spend around 800 Euros a month for kitchen related shopping...but this includes toiletteries too...its hard to calculate exact amount for food only.
And we hardly ever eat out.
