Re: How many of you would like to have mix wedding here??
It is not a issue for me............ whether it is segregated wedding or mix wedding.......... if my cousins and family or friends are there.......... it is ok and i have fun.
By the way in my family mostly we have mix weddings.........
Re: How many of you would like to have mix wedding here??
I've had fun on both types of wedding guess it really just depends on who hosting it... over here there’s this one cast of Pakistani people who do completely segregated weddings and i have to say they go out and there really fun plus, the people God bless them, the nicest ppl ever so chill and really heart to heart people, well mix same deal but everybody here so clicky… weirdo's... Gal’s got noses up in air…weird… I mean your cute but only to a certain extent… same with guys… weird… everybody at mix wedding get all weird here, but I enjoy both… I like my mix:)

You better yank him by his collar to make sure he didn't, though I don't think it might be a big deal considering how many of them are floating around on the web.

dunyaavii Hisaab se MIX gathering**
Islamii Hisaab se SEGREGATED gathering****
is recommended...it ALL depends how religious the bride, the groom and their families are...the invitees have SAY in this regard...they can stay home if they do NOT like the arrangement which is fair! :)**

Re: How many of you would like to have mix wedding here??
In my experience segragated weddings rarely stay that way - usually the stray guy will wander over to the women's side "just to speak to his wife/mum/sister" and then the rest will follow
no point.
I have a completely different experience- 99.9% of the time, the men stay on their side and if they need to get someone's attention, they usually send a kid over.
Re: How many of you would like to have mix wedding here??
My family weddings were separated. We had men on one side, women on the other, and non-Muslim guests in the centre. My walima was completely segregated so that hijabis could walk around without their hijabs/abayas on. No men were allowed to come in and any messages/questions were sent through kids.

Re: How many of you would like to have mix wedding here??
I will show up for the actual wedding. But anything in between will be a waste of my time. I don't care for any of the social events around a wedding. One thing is for certain I am not gonna be sitting on some chair while my friends hang out and have fun.

Well that was your choice. But since non-muslim guests were at centre..were they able to see hijabis without scarf??.

I think what Hinna is saying, and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, is that during family weddings everyone is usually in one hall but women on one side and men on the other with non-muslims in the middle, so on these type of weddings I doubt the hijabis take off their hijab
However on her valima day men and women were in seperate rooms, hence why hijabis took their headscarf off

You got it Guac.
About 1/3 of our guests were non-Muslim because my parents invited their co-workers and clients to the wedding.
