Someone gifted us a 15 lbs frozen turkey during Christmas times. We had to give it to someone as it was not halal. Once at my office holdiay party, my secret santa gifted me a wine opener ..guess what I did with that. Give it away off course.

I don't like recycling gifts especially when I think they're pretty useless so I just google the seriel or model number of the item and return it at the store that sells it for a refund or store gift card....works for me most of the times! :)

i dont see an issue with recycling gifts, but the thought that goes into the gift whether it is from purchased from a store or it is something someone gave to you.

I was given a really nice designer sweater which was the wrong size, the hassle of going to exchange it or something was too much, now I knew my bro likes fine merino wool sweaters, so I told him I had this sitting around and he can have it. he loved it. now if it was some baroque jacquard paisely multicolour acrylic baggy bill cosby sweater that I hated and just unloaded on the next suspecting victim, that would be bad :D

bill cosby was kidnapped by aliens in teh 80s and they replaced him with an android with all of bill cosby's memories and traits but the android could not learn new traits so he is stuck in the 80s bill cosby thing.

i we get recycled gifts we give them the same. when we see someones put thought into their gift and gave something useful then we do the same.

People who gave me those gifts did not know the practices of Muslims though they knew that I am a Muslims.

i wud just GIVE IT AWAY and not wait for someone's birthday or anniversay to wrap it up and give it to that person pretending to have bought myself. thats what i'm talking about. a gift i wud buy with my own money and keeping the recipient in mind.

the rule of the thumb is...if u can't tell the person u r giving the gift that u r recycling, u MUST NOT give as a gift

but hey, do you tell the person who gave u gift that I gave away your gift to xyz because I already have that thingie ?

I recycle gifts sometimes but the problem is I forget who it came from. So there is always the possibility of the gift going back to it's original giver. Now that would be hilarious and embarassing at the same time. And before anyone asks, NO it hasn't happened as of yet.
