Eid, New year, Hanuka, Diwali, Christmas .. whatever .. this is a gift giving season.
How many of you ladies are sick and tired of receiving Mikasa crystal fruit platters as gifts? How many of you actually save them and give it to someone else when needed.
No I am not saying that there is anything wrong with it. I actually wanted to start a thread called 'Most useless gift you ever received'. I realized that by starting that, maybe indirectly I a am putting all those people who ever gave me gifts, so I started this thread.
'Useless gift' is very subjective, like those 3 flower pots :D .. one was good for you but 3 of the same, and they become useless ..
i wud NEVER EVER do that...i find is dishonest, disrespectful and cheap...u can see, from the choice of word, how strongly i feel against the practice. i haven't read any1's reply so its NOT in any particular user's response. i feel very bad about this concept :(

I understand and I used to be like that, but I dont think that its against the mannerisms as you feel. See if I give you a gift, its no longer mine, its yours. When you are giving something of yours as a gift to someone else, you are not being disrespectful in anyways. You can give away what I gave you to someone else. I dont see anything wrong with that.

my husband has the same philosophy, once its in my hands as a gift or someone else's thats it..i (or the giver) should not care. but i dont know, i saw it happening with some wedding clothes and jewelery that we gave to others being given away right in front of me.. and that sucked majorly.
I dont usually recycle gifts but I do put them in a pile of things to give away (which includes alot of my own things as well). i have friends come over and tell them take whatever you want from there. (I do make sure to seperate the things that they gave me :D)
I'd like to think my gifts havent been regifted b/c I do put alot of time and thought into the gifts I give people....which I honestly don't see others doing.

merai saath bhi yeh hee hota hai...i prefer cash though, but thats depen on occasion.
One thing that I find really gross is re-gifting chocolate...cause once these ppl came over to our house and they brought the Pot of gold chocolates and of course being a chocolate freak I had to open it...but the box had been regifted so many times that the chocolates were hard as brick!! I was so sad :(
Most useless gift would have to be this horridly ugly fabric that was given to me...yea like i'm gonna make a suit out of that...
LOL someone re gifted us alcoholic chocolate that they got from someone else that had bought it from the airport and the whole family had ate alcoholic chocolate lol
