Ok. We just think differently and its O.K. I just don’t understand how him being unconditionaly on your side is a good thing but he can’t be that way for his family and you think that’s good?! Hmm. But ya…I am happy for you and the confidence you have in your to be husband
Not really …it shows me that he has a very rational mind and can/will understand when his family is being irrational. It also shows me that he is not one of those type of guys that is easily influenced by his family (the type that like to meddle). He knows his family better than anyone else obviously … so it makes sense to me that he would know if they are capable of being irrational ever.
It also shows me that he will really value the position of “husband”. And that title will win over other titles. I am not saying that he is the disrespectful or not caring type. .. he is very respectful AND caring to his family …but he is the type to call them out on something if he does not agree. And he told me he will never agree with the fact if his family do something or says something that makes me feel awkward, or put me in an awkward position. It is more important to him that me and him are always on the same page (aka .. on each other sides). We have known each other for 2 years already and have never argued. It has solidified and made our relationship extremely strong and I am a lucky girl to already be in this position before marriage. It makes sense that he wants to continue the trend of our solidarity after marriage. We are each others best friends and biggest supporters.
Lol. Its ok if you think that way. But I definitely dont. He is the eldest son … his opinions and thoughts carry a lot of weight and his parents consider it. So it will only be to my benefit that I will have a person like this looking after me post shaadi. My own parents consider themselves the luckiest parents because they know how my future hubby thinks and is. They know that he will take care of me and my “susraal” will never be able to make my life uncomfortable or awkward or even god forbid take advantage of me.
These situations may never arrise inshAllah …but it is still a nice feeling to know you have someone unconditionally on your side if it does. … which it might because I will be the “bhabi” of his household!!!
