My Dear Friends, Some time back a very good thread was going on about the ‘Biggest Fear’ for marriage in which a number of people contributed their ‘Phobias’. The discussion in that thread digressed to the topic of ‘premarital sexual relations’ and the starter of that thread became uncomfortable with that and eventually closed it. At this point my inquisitve and probing mind wanted to know more of this important issue. It pertains to every body of us and I guess we are all mature to talk about that in a respectful manner, I agree and believe that it is ‘haraam’ in the eyes of our deen…but we should still accept that it is present but I wish to take this further and would like to know ** How many of us were or are virgin/chaste and plan to remain so untill marriage.**

Ya Pyari…I had thought for making a poll…but I didnt find any option. If you know of any moderator…feel free to ask them to help me make a poll which could be anonymous and so more true…but a double blind anonymous poll wont be that good…like I wont be able to see who wrote what…and if I want to know for example your status…I wont be able to find it there.

Midas bhai jaan (assume you are not baji) .. its very simple.. if you want a virgin then by all means do a complete check up of ur wife to be.. otherwise see what Allah gives you and accept it.. i have heard from elders, those are picky about "anything", Allah gives them the worst of that "thing".. so please this question is really of no sense
btw: I am virgin and i will remain until marriage not that hard and inshaAllah it will not be hard to maintain in coming days..

well i think almost anyone can say who is , there is no harm in it. but its personal. you will not get a single answer if some one isnt virgin specialy girls - they will not even tell their future husbands, how could they tell you this very personal thing.
and yes i didnt have sex until my marriage and always wanted it to be like that.

Errr - PCG, unlike others on this board, he didn't ask for just responses from just women, he asked everyone, men and women.
However......
Midas, c'mon, you're asking a very personal question from people. Anonymous poll like PCG suggested is a better way to get more honest results and slightly less insulting in a way.

my sense is that most abcds wont be...girls back home in pakistan are much more likely to be chaste..again this is a generalization..but a somehwat accurate one..
