I am going to guess just about every language that is spoken in different areas of Pakistan is spoken in Karachi.
But do you think people who migrated from various parts of India, some of them still speak their local/native language?

By Now Karachi probably has its own language!

urdu, punjabi, pashto, gujrati, kutchi (sindhi), english, farsi, hindko, balochi, arabic
and probably more

Godhra, kokni, memoni, aga khani gujrati, parsi gujrati, gilgiti, quetta hazaran persian and what not!

Also different variants of Urdu, ranging from Dilli walay, Bihari, UP, Hyderabadi, Rajhistani, Mumbaiyyay, Madrasi, Bengoli and a Karachi special Pathani (almost a dialect now).
Its fun for outsiders to visit Karachi and talk to general people. All different backgrounds making a common Karachi lingo.

zinda dilo ka shair...jo har qisam ki nafrat aur taasub aur oonch neech sai paak hai...

Karachi bhi khulay dilo ka loog hia! Yahan kay loog bhi mohabbat kurtay hain!
Lahore kay logo ka bohat bura tassur wahan kay taxi aur riskshaw drivers day tain hain.
In 1995 I went to Lahore. I needed a taxi to the city near the AG office. But before going straight there, I had to go to ICMAP at ferozepur road. The taxi driver charged me Rs. 250 then. He was swearing. By the distance we travelled that would not been hardly Rs. 100 in 1995.
That was really a bad experience of Lahore then!

yaar aab tum aik taxi driver ko pakkar kar baith gai ho ...baqi 80 lakh kaha gai... i am not against any city ...all pakistan is equal to us....likin go baat such hai wo yahi hai....lore lore hai....not in pakistan...whole india and bangladesh knows this..whole world knows this...Mujaddid Alaf Sani have written in some of its letter that this city is the leader of all in india region because of its holy people resting in its sand.....
no discrimination against anyone ....all cities are equal.....laikin

But my dear, the first people we come accross are these taxi and rickshaw drivers! Good and bad people are found everywhere.
But saying that one city is the best in the country and rest of the cities are crap, is not good!
Karachi has also got its own share of good and bad people!

In the same trip, I was coming back an a rickshaw to my hotel just next to the AG office. I told the rickshaw driver that my destination was AG office. When we reached the AG office, I asked the rickshaw driver to drop at the hotel just next to the AG office.
His behivour was so rude and he forced me to get off then and there!
So sad and disappointing.

Rickshaw drivers are mostly afghan pathans ...they tell you this watch or this sweater is Rs. 1000 and after 2 or 3 minutes ..they will sell you in Rs. 60... :D
