No more then 2 days...then I need to run home so I can eat some really good food cooked by my mom and feel normal again.

Back in 2006 I didnt have any desi food for 8 months. Was caught between full time work, grad school and 2 hours of commuting daily. Even now, I go for weeks without it, but there's always other cuisines!

Aik bada jannat main ga-ya , wahan uss kay sath sirf 2 teen bunday aur thay. Uss ko nashtay main papy aur chai milay, dopahar ko papay aur lassi , raat ko papay aur chai, same thing in the morning. So in the afternoon he said to the angel who was attending to his needs "yeh kaisee jannat hay her waqt papay aur chai " farishtay nay kaha , "abb dow char bandoon k lee-a kia biryanee key daig charahain gay ?"

not long, but usually all our meals seem to have a desi touch and some other culture. some days its more desi other days more amreekan/italian etc…but never lose the desi 
so you eat Spaghetti with Koftay (nstead of meat balls) and Steak with aaloo ka bhurtaa (instead of mash potatoes)
If I was a good Sughghar, then how would I find time to come on gs…lolz
p.s. My mummy is the perfect Sughghar, Today she fixed upstairs and downstairs boiler, and now we have hot water working in my house hurray!

Like Lusi, I can go without any desi food for months and months. Last year I think I only had salan roti like 4 times.
