Re: How many Daughters did Prophet(Saw) have?
[QUOTE]
The Shia consider Fatima(ra) as part of the Ahlel Bayt, but we must analyze on what basis they do this. Do they honor Fatima(ra) because she is the Prophet’s daughter, or rather because she is Ali(ra)’s wife? The answer, we hope, shall be made obvious: it seems to us that they do not honor the daughters of the Prophet(saw), but rather they only honor Ali(ra)’s wife.

WOW, this person do know a lot about shiaism. Things even shia are not aware of.
What an ignorant idiot!
Re: How many Daughters did Prophet(Saw) have?
Now now, they're just trying to teach people what we believe in, whether it's true or not. Don't disturb them.
If we tell them that's not our belief, it'll just be blamed on taqiyyah then. facepalm
Re: How many Daughters did Prophet(Saw) have?
i dont think any sensible shia on earth can refute that article in an academic manner, all we can get is idiotic replies full of frustration and embarrassment.

And any sensible Sunni would let us live in peace, respecting Fatima Zahra (sa) as the daughter of Rasoolallah (saw), then the wife of Imam Ali (as), then the mother of Imam Hassan and Hussain (as).
Get a life. Nobody wants to hear it.

The points bought up are ridiculous.

The Quran Declares That the Prophet Has More Than One Daughter
Allah says in the Quran:
“O Prophet! Say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers that they let down upon them their over-garments; this will be more proper, that they may be known, and thus they will not be given trouble; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.” (Quran, 33:59)
Here, Allah uses the plural word for daughters, not the singular form. Allah uses the term “banaatuka” which means “your daughters.” If it was one daughter only, it would be “bintuka.” This completely negates the claim that the Prophet (saw) had only one daughter. Had this been the case, then surely Allah would have not used the plural form, since Allah is above making grammatical mistakes. (We hope that the noble Sahabah will not be accused of doing Tahreef or tampering of the Quran!) We could provide more evidence to prove this fact of history, but it will certainly be a pointless endeavor if a Muslim cannot accept an evidence as ideologically authoritative as the Quran.

Unmarried girls in the Ummah of EVERY prophet are his daughters. Allah (swt) in this ayah is referring to the girls in our Ummah. Are you trying to tell us that unmarried girls should not cover themselves since this verse, according to your interpretation, excludes them?
The main concern in, Rasoolallah (saw) did not mention them as much in comparison to Bibi Zahra (sa). She is also the only one to have any continual lineage, so the argument is inconsequential as we follow the sunnah taught to us by His (saw) bloodline.
This argument is split up within us. Some say there were daughters and some say there were not. There were daughters without a doubt, as far as I know, maybe somebody else can correct me, if anybody wants to, since this thread is totally pointless, and this will be my only post on this matter.
All I want to know is, where were these daughters during the event of Mubahila?
فَمَنْ حَاجَّكَ فِيهِ مِنْ بَعْدِ مَا جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ فَقُلْ تَعَالَوْا نَدْعُ أَبْنَاءَنَا وَأَبْنَاءَكُمْ وَنِسَاءَنَا وَنِسَاءَكُمْ وَأَنْفُسَنَا وَأَنْفُسَكُمْ ثُمَّ نَبْتَهِلْ فَنَجْعَلْ لَعْنَتَ اللَّهِ عَلَى الْكَاذِبِينَ {61}
[3:61] But whoever disputes with you in this matter after what has come to you of knowledge, then say: Come let us call our sons and your sons and our women and your women and our near people and your near people, then let us be earnest in prayer, and pray for the curse of Allah on the liars.
In the above verse (3:61), according to what Jabir Ibn Abdillah al-Ansari (the great companion of the Prophet) said, the word "sons" refers to al-Hasan and al-Husain, the word "women" refers to Fatimah, and the word "our selves" refer to the Prophet and Ali. Thus Ali is referred as "the self" of the Prophet (Nafs of the Prophet).
al-Durr al-Manthoor by al-Hafidh Jalaluddin al-Suyuti, v2, p38
.
Sahih Muslim: Book 031, Number 5955:
'A'isha reported that Allah's Apostle (may peace be upon him) went out one norning wearing a striped cloak of the black camel's hair that there came Hasan b. 'Ali. He wrapped hitn under it, then came Husain and he wrapped him under it along with the other one (Hasan). Then came Fatima and he took her under it, then came 'Ali and he also took him under it and then said: Allah only desires to take away any uncleanliness from you, O people of the household, and purify you (thorough purifying)
Even if the sons of Rasoolallah (saw), Tahir, Ibrahim, and Qasim were alive and were not under the cloak, they would not be part of Ahl al-Kisa. Just as the other daughters were not.
As for marrying Uthmaan, just because they were wives of Uthman doesn’t mean the Prophet (saw) married them to him. Keep in mind that both Ruqayyah and Umme Kulthoom were previously married, and Islamically it was not required of them to seek consent from their father before marrying anyone.
Whatever you want to say, it is apparent which daughter of Rasoolallah (saw) had the higher merit in Islam and its history, who Surah Kawthar was a special sign about. It’s undeniable that Fatima Zahra (sa) had a special place in the heart of Rasoolallah (saw).
Even though Fatima Zahra's (sa) rank is not a reason to deny the existence of her sisters, the existence of her sisters isn’t a reason to deny her rank.
Re: How many Daughters did Prophet(Saw) have?
As i said you before its beyond any shia scholars present on earth now, to refute this fact after reading that article COMPLETELY. Let alone the lay shias make pathetic arguments, which were already aswered in the blog. but it seems you are even scared to read the complete article.
For your question refer **Argument 1, ****Argument 12, etc in the blog for answers to your questions:

brother no one knows where will they end hell/heaven because even if they are members of the saved sect.. its not neccessary that they become infallible. What i want is to educate the shias, and to remove the misconceptions they have about the true islam. And i too want to join the saved sect so that, they would enter in heaven...
you see im their wellwisher :)
Re: How many Daughters did Prophet(Saw) have?
Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) had 4 daughters – This is a historical fact.
In all the books whether they be Shia oriented or Sunni oriented; they all refer to them as:
Zainab bint Muhammad (ra)
Ruqayyah bint Muhammad (ra)
Umm Kulthum bint Muhammad (ra)
Fatima bint Muhammad (ra)
Hz Zayd ibn Harithah (ra) was adopted ‘son’ of Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) and was always addressed as Zayd bin Muhammad as it was the custom at that time to give the adopted child the adopting father’s name.
*Assert their relationship to their fathers; this is more equitable with Allah; but if you do not know their fathers, then they are your brethren in faith and your friends; and there is no blame on you concerning that in which you made a mistake, but (concerning) that which your hearts do purposely (blame may rest on you), and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful. *Quran [33:5]
After the above surah was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) Zayd was always addressed as Zayd ibn Harithah henceforth.
We see in that Hz Ali (ra) states the fact that Hz Uthman (ra) was related to the Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) by marriage.
Sermon 163
When people went to Amir al-mu’minin in a deputation and complained to him through what they had to say against `Uthman, and requested him to speak to him on their behalf and to admonish him for their sake, he went to see him and said: (1)
The people are behind me and they have made me an ambassador between you and themselves; but by Allah, I do not know what to say to you. I know nothing (in this matter) which you do not know, nor can I lead you to any matter of which you are not aware. You certainly know what we know, we have not come to know anything before you which we could tell you; nor did we learn anything in secret which we should convey to you. You have seen as we have seen and you have heard as we have heard. You sat in the company of the Prophet of Allah as we did. (Abu Bakr) Ibn Abi Quhafah and (`Umar) ibn al-Khattab were no more responsible for acting righteously than you, since you are nearer than both of them to the Prophet of Allah through kinship, and you also hold relationship to him by marriage which they do not hold.**
http://www.nahjulbalagha.org/SermonDetail.php?Sermon=163**
Mind you, Hz Ali (ra) was well aware the Hz Abu Bakr & Hz Umar (May Allah be pleased with them) were Prophet’s (saw) father in laws thus related through marriage!
We see that prominent Shia website do acknowledge that Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) had 4 daughters!
Khadija, peace be upon her, was the first woman who believed in the Prophet’s divine prophecy. She put all her wealth at his disposal to propagate and promote Islam. Six children were born of his marriage: two sons named Qasim and Tahir who passed away as infants in Makkah and four daughers named Ruqiyah, Zaynab, Umm Kulsum, and Fatima, who was the most prominent and honoured of them all. - Bihar ul-Anwar p.3; A’yan, p.18; A’lam, p.146.
http://www.al-islam.org/glance/4.htm
Quite a few Shia Scholars acknowledge the fact that Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) had 4 daughters but overwhelming just deny this historical fact and the reason for this is quite obvious.
Re: How many Daughters did Prophet(Saw) have?
as-salaamu alaikum brother wellwisher, it was an excellent article, on an interesting deviation of the shiah. very politely written as is your usual hallmark.
for those shiahs that do not try to simply deny existence of those ahulbayt (which shiah scholars deem to be unmanageable in their aqeedah) write ra after their mention. if you do not then it shows you have enmity towards the ahulbayt ra of RasoolAllah saw. raziallahu anhum simply means - may Allah be pleased with them. if there is forgiveness for them, only then can there be forgiveness for us
Re: How many Daughters did Prophet(Saw) have?
I have always thought that the Prophet did indeed have 4 daughters since there is overwhelming evidence for that. Although some scholars hold that they were step daughters of Prophet Muhammad (s) i never really looked deep into it since it never affected my Shia aqeeda. Marriage to Prophet's daughter alone is not a source of merit for any unless Prophet Muhammad himself deems it to be so.

this was the case regarding hz usman(ra)'s marriage...

Thats mean, If he wishes well for you, u shld do the same.
on the other note... if a well wisher wants us (shias) to end up with mouvia and yazid what wud an enemy want ?
Sorry it was off topic :(, but so is the whole thread
Re: How many Daughters did Prophet(Saw) have?
come on topic how many daughters ra did the prophet saw have?
Re: How many Daughters did Prophet(Saw) have?
Sunni's Claim Prophet s.a.w had 4 daughters.
Some shia's Agree with Sunni's Some claim Prophet s.a.w had only one daughter.
Sunni Claim from Quran:
“O Prophet! Say to your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers that they let down upon them their over-garments; this will be more proper, that they may be known, and thus they will not be given trouble; and Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.” (Quran, 33:59)
Shia Argument : Rasool s.a.w is Father of whole ummat but not biological Father. If this is referring to Biological Daughters .... then it would mean this order only applies to wives, daughters of Prophet s.a.w and married women and hence unmarried muslim gals are not required to cover themselves.
Shia claim, From Quran:
3:61] But whoever disputes with you in this matter after what has come to you of knowledge, then say: Come let us call our sons and your sons and** our women and your women** and our near people and your near people, then let us be earnest in prayer, and pray for the curse of Allah on the liars.
If Prophet s.a.w had 4 daughetrs .... y did it apply to to Bibi Fatima a.s only. Why werent other 3 daughters there with Prophet s.a.w ?
Ibn-e-Siddique quoted Bahar-ul-Anwar and Nahjul Blagha... however as i said before some shias do agree with sunnis on this topic.
That was summary of thread so far.
