Don’t you show your affection towards your loved one with your body? In east asia you bow to your elders and that shows respect, same with eye contact.
Those who don’t make eye contact whats so ever are the ones who are “damaged” per say.
I know I use my own form of sign language towards the ones who I love.
The way a person is around you how they react towards you with their body, whether it be bowing, blushing or even a simple wave it means much more than the noise we create.
