how important is jahez?

I have a friend whose family gave her the couples’ home as her jahez. I love that. If he screws up, she can kick him out, as the house is in her name and in her father’s name.

That poor boy doesn’t step a toe out of line. He follows her around like a devoted puppy.

Parents should be doing that more often.
