Yes, but I feel you are missing the point... whilst we'd like to think most Muslim's are moving on with life and the parents of these youngsters are more lenient in this day and age.. fact is, it's not really the case amongst the majority. You are being ignorant.
I appreciate you intelligently have given some of these youngsters the solution but I'm sure they would've implemented it a long while ago if it were possible for them.
I'd suggest you shut up and get on with your own life. Judging ppl on a forum is foolish.
