I used to be so naive , people used to stab me in my back. It took me long time to learn to identify the real personality of people I used to interact with.
Should there not be a book , course , training or a machine to make us able to read the real intentions, gestures and personality of someone you are dealing with ?
I found two faced people more in Pakistan than USA. I am talking about average Joe not about politicians.

I suck at it big time…even after years.At times I jjust cannot accept that people can be like that…I can’t accept it:bummer:

What I learned so far in my life is to draw a line in every relationship, outside of my home that is. The variety of back stabbing knives has definitely increased.

I do not think any one of us can really learn that art. The simple reason is that what people hide in their chests (sadoor) and what they reveal is ONLY known to Allah. Avoiding people after getting certain gestures is probably the safest thing one can do and leave rest to Allah.

We do find out about the second or even third faces of people without having any art, believe you me. And that is because, at the end of the day, circumstances Allah creates, Unmask (and even mask) people around us.

Important thing is to have your heart clean of such things and have fear of what is the ultimate truth. People become two-faced because when they act so, their focus is this world whereas if the focus is shifted to where it is supposed to be, that is Day of Judgement, no one really would want to be two-faced… not that people are not aware of that… it’s just the amount of Iman in one’s heart…

Good question. Diplomacy in its true terms does not mean being two faced. From wikipedia I quote:

Yes to me understanding diplomacy is the process of conducting activities with another with tact in order to bring about a good relationship…

But then why

If you call some one a diplomat ( specially in a desi circle ) …. He /she feels offended

over time , i've become quiet good at identifying such kind of people .............. but still i can't tell right away ,that this person is two-faced , i've to spend( -or-waste) some time with him/ her
