I used to be so naive , people used to stab me in my back. It took me long time to learn to identify the real personality of people I used to interact with.
Should there not be a book , course , training or a machine to make us able to read the real intentions, gestures and personality of someone you are dealing with ?
I found two faced people more in Pakistan than USA. I am talking about average Joe not about politicians.

I can spot them almost immediately. On the internet however, it's difficult and takes a little bit more time.

On the internet it is difficult because of the anonymity. Also if you cannot identify such a person who is hidden behind cloud of electrons and do not share any personal information with someone on the internet, no harm done.

Good you will love it, prepare you to know people better based on very small things they do.
Like dressing, talk walk etc.

You should care brother, in this case what you don't know can hurt you big time.
You work with people, you do business with people, you have relatives . You do not live alone in the middle of nowhere , that is why it is all the more reason to care about identifying two faced people.

There is no real use in trying to root out two-facedness in people. However, we should rely on Allah (SWT) for protection from such people and deal with everyone in an amicable manner. In addition we should realise that we are a mirror for our peers and they for us. We can easily slip in to two-facedness ourselves without realising it.
A man used to urge and call others to good, but then some noticed that his actions were hypocritical that he did not do what he himself used to say.
When this was presented to a scholar (name forgotten) the reply given was let him continue in his call for good, for may be in that he will take heed of his own advice. Take from him what is good and leave what is bad.
That is how we should deal with everyone. Lest trying to view everyone with suspiscion may lead to us being the ones not trusted by others.

Yes sir I am not trying to root out two-facednees in people. I am just trying to identify them so that I could not be hurt because of their hypocrisy. That too because I got hurt by these kind of people in the past . I do not look at all the people with suspicion either , if I do so my life will be very miserable. I would take the people for what they are but soon , I will identify the ones who are two faced one. Sometimes, I still fail even though I am very careful now.
Only Allah is the best judge of people we humans can err in the end , as we are humans after all and Allah is the best judge.
I will not cut off my relationship with them but I would be careful in my dealings with them.

I used to be soooo naive it's not even funny but have learned a lot with time. You can tell by people's gestures, expressions, their choice of words, their body language, their smile.... etc. :)

I do not judge people but it really hurts to see people you call friends turning out to be two-faced... but then, not knowing and living in ignorance is not a bliss either...
