I had never really noticed how messy my apartment had gotten until my sister dragged a friend (who lives at home) here and right now she is expressing great amazement at how the stuff we have on the walls is falling down or peeling off, the dishes are strewn on the living room carpet, and all our textbooks are piled into mini leaning tower of Pisas under the dining room table. The laundry hasn’t been done for a few weeks. And all my shoes are in front of my room. Oh my poor home, I used to keep it so clean. Should I get angry at the girl who is absolutely gobsmacked at how bad we are and is literally going from room to room commenting about the mess, or come home tonight and clean? Hmm avoid being at home… clean… avoid being at home… clean. Kya karein? Who else is as bad as us?
Re: How embarrassing
Come home and clean Sarah, Your surroundings can have a great affect on you. My room is a mess too since my sisters wedding thing started. I have been lazing around too much but this weekend, I am hoping, it will all be cleaned up. Disorderliness can really depress me and make me feel sluggish. Its better for me atleast to just get things back in order again.
Re: How embarrassing
Our problem is that we have too much stuff. Too many clothes and too many books, to be precise. I am reluctant to part with the clothes, much memories attached you see, and I need to keep my books too. However, there is no space, so despite our best itentions, my apartment naturally falls into a state of disrepair. What the hell should I do.
Urgh, the girl is washing our dishes
Re: How embarrassing
Haha, she drank our two weeks expired milk. Ahahaha starts crying and is now cleaning up our fridge. Oh my god, I don't know how she didn't even smell that it had gone bad for so long.
Re: How embarrassing
if u cannot wash dishes get disposable ones and throw them away immediately after use. Maybe u can invest in extra storage boxes for the books and clothes??? Im sure u don;t use them all simultaneously right?
Re: How embarrassing
if she drank that milk without realising then there is something wrong with her. Your apartment probably isnt that bad at all :D
Re: How embarrassing
She's Hindu. If she's anything like my ex-roommate who was Hindu too, this girl's house is worse than ours.
Re: How embarrassing
Poor girl. Give her some Pepto Bismol. She's gonna need it.
Re: How embarrassing
shudder
Re: How embarrassing
its gonna cost you like $40.00. get a cleaning lady for couple of hours and she will do the job. this way you can relax and have a cold one. :k:
Re: How embarrassing
my room always looks like a tornado hit it, my closet, goshhh lets not even talk about it. And I am like that, I hate throwing my stuff away, I always find a reason to keep stuff.
Re: How embarrassing
Hmm I dont understand how ppl can live in filth. Sarah get a grip and clean up the place. I promise u..u will be feeling really happy once u've made a full deep cleaning of ur home.
How long do u wear clothes before washing it? ehem How often do u shower? No im just kiddin.. U shud get urself a new closet if the one u have isnt big enough. Organize ur stuff. A wall rack with alot of space is optimal for books and paper. Hmm I dont know what they r called in english, but these things that u can put ur papers in. Organize all ur papers. Put books back on the rack after u have used them instead of laying them on the table.
A filthy home is disgusting and there is no excuse for living like that.
Re: How embarrassing
i can relate to u totally sarah.
its always good to clean up the "filth" like dirty dishes or garbage that might cause roaches/mice/insects etc to feast. but i guess books/clothes are not that big of a deal....reserve one day a week /twice a week to organize those.
Re: How embarrassing
Ahem Shweet is speaking from xperience, saali you still owe me for the cleanup I did at ur house.. cockroaches…

Re: How embarrassing
I’m still afraid of looking in my sink thanks to all the cockroaches n stuff in ur sink ![]()
Re: How embarrassing
Take a couple of hours and clean up the mess. I'm sure you'll feel better after. Also, don't let things pile up, just put them back in their place once you're done using them. That way you won't have to deal with any serious mess.
Re: How embarrassing
I agree with Femme and Sadia. Dont let things pile up and try to do a little bit of cleaning up everyday.
Re: How embarrassing
clean it Sarah, it'll make u really happy..
having a clean house makes me feel so good.. ever since the dawats have started down here in melbourne, my room has been chaos.. i only had one suitcase out first, now i have three! i look as if im about to leave the country any minute with my two huge suitcases and cabin bag...
i get so much satisfaction out of a clean room...
another thing, as long as ur bed is made, the room looks clean.. even if u have a hundred things lying around on the ground...
Re: How embarrassing
I hate messy ppl
