I've used the average pharmacy brands like maybelline to top of the range like EL and Lancome, i always end up in clumps.
I have very thick lashes that dont grow in a single line, when I apply mascara they get stuck to each other in weird angles and I can never get the straight cute way karishmas are :(

its proabably coz you don't apply it correctly
you need PRACTICE
and yeah if you have thick lashed then don't put it soo much just apply a lil
amount of it and you will have good results

Karishma is most probably wearing false lashes which is why they look so neat and long...
When applying mascara ensure there isn't too much of it on the wand, this can cause clumping...check the shape of the wand itself...ones that are shaped like combs where each prong is far apart will cause lashes to clump...
Sounds like you need one with a brush like end, but not too fine as this will not help lashes separate...lol hope that makes sense!
Try Max Factor, quite a few of their mascara wands have the shape I'm talking about...also apply the mascara in sweeping upward motions....

I have discovered this place where they do perm lash curling or whatever its called and semi perm fake lashes although I didnt really go in and enquire bout both services.

I have tried both comb and brush ends p51, they both make my lashes clump together in bunches and I dont have the beautiful long seperated sweeping towards the side effect 
sometimes i get one of 'em right only to ruin the other one

Semi permanent lashes are great…a work colleague of mine got them done regularly and they looked so good…not as false looking as mascara or stick-ons…
I think they last around a fortnight…I can’t remember how much they cost her and she doesn’t work with me any more

i don’t think you don’t hold the mascara wand and blink… won’t that make it smear cos you can’t control the rate of your blinking?
i use an eyelash curler- it really helps to open up the eyes. then i use the wand and looking slightly up, not all the way up, but slightly, i pull the wand under my lashes, all the way to the end. if you wiggle it slightly and pull it out slowly, it helps to separate the lashes also.

i love the clear mascara. that is some kind of oil with out the paint.. for day time.. moti moti eye lashes in the day time are so ew looking..
the clear mascara moisturises ur lashes too.. and sorta given them defination without clumping.. u might just not need a lot.. try wiping the brush with a cotton towel to remove excess that clumps up..

I heard that applying just a tiny lil amount of baby powder before mascara doesn't let it clump.

I already use Model Cos clear mascara and while it does give a very nice straight from the shower wet effect, there is something very dramatic bout the dark mascara and I wanto get it right just once for my birthday which will be a very special day for me for other reasons than the fact that im turning another year older
I dont like the curler, it gives me shivers to use it. Reminds me of being in a surgery.
So noone here has any idea how to apply mascara ?? :(

mascara doesnt add the extra 'length' it only adds volume..and if ur lashes are already healthy..then ur god gifted..dont waste ur time and money on mascaras.

i tend to get results like karishma's with any kind of mascara. umm it's a mix of wiggle and inward curling of the mascara brush in order to separate. i usually use the wand a couple of times (without shoving it back into the tube) before the mascara completely dries.

Loreal Telescopic. I think i'v had the same one for about a year now...still works though.
The trick is to focus on the roots of the lashes and not the tips, dont sweep in one motion too quickly, you have to kind of wiggle ( I cant think of another word that best describes what I mean!) the brush along your lashes as you sweep upwards, you may want to hold for about 5 seconds as you nearer the tip of your lashes. Oh and only real women keep their mouths open whilst applying mascara.
