well clearly if it doesn’t jive with “pakistan studies” it must be untrue, yeah? it wasnt all united muslims vs. rest of the world. pick up a book or two on the first war. it was not just sikhs, rest of punjab wasn’t too thrilled either under mughal rule. it wasn’t like punjabi muslims were the same as “hindustani” muslims in mughal administrations - that class was almost entirely non-punjabi. dullah bhatti, anyone? the english east india company was very fair in their rule of punjab compared to the mughals and had the loyalty of the muslims, who didn’t lift a finger during the sepoy mutiny. in fact, served in regiments that actively killed the revolt, especially in delhi.

Again you posted the composition of British army. Fine. Still not proven that Muslims of Punjab Regiment really took part in decisive victory of British forces against the revolt.

Zero Sikhs? Really?

All but Muslims deserted? Really?

Somehow all of a sudden Sikhs appeared in Punjabi forces supporting British forces from being zero in number and ALL people except 'Moslems" in Punjab deserted to join other rebellions. Yeah right!

Dr. Shabir needs to research a bit more I think.
