politicians are exceptions.. :) their words do attract u, ur heart n mind.. but least of dem are trustworthy..

Khuloos, honesty, loyalty, love, kindness, care, simplicity of words, expressions (interpersonal face to face meeting), attitude and tone of delivery.. all these things contribute towards effectiveness of what you say.. as said by poet..

As for the original post:
Well, trust is a delicate thing. Once broken, it can only be mended back with proper action and works to eliminate the previous haste. Unfortunately, the politicians aren't in the mood of doing any such thing in the near future, and looks like we'll still be distrustful of them for quite a while. Because in the current times and situation, truth gets you pushed so far back, that often people don't even recall you.
Until the honesty is rewarded and dishonesty made punishable, trust will stay in the dark, as it is now.
Commitment + Fulfillment of promise + Sincerity=Trust
Where the Fulfillment of the promise is flexible as long as the sincerity and commitment are strong, in that, the promise can be delayed if a goal is not accomplished due to arising circumstances that prevent any such task being completed in the short span of time. As long as the commitment to continue and sincerity to see it through are present, the trust can/will be preserved.
