thanks shweets.
I wasn't talking about making out.
I would not be in favour of making that kind of behaviour public.

Re: How do you know...
those that have are happy to have witnessed it.....at least most of them are..... and those that haven't, I'm sure, would not have minded seeing it.
so why are we so critical when we see young couples behaving this way? why is it so taboo for a bride and groom to whisper in each other's ear at their valima? why is it so bad for a guy to put his arm around his wife and walk down the street?
good point and good thread, pointing out the hypocrisy..
Re: How do you know…
My mom’s in-laws call my dad joru ka ghulaam
he cant take any major decisons without asking her for advice…not that they agree normally…each are headstrong on their own but they do come up with a way…
My dad always tells his friends/family what a good mother my mom has been and whatever she has done for the house and the children. He even says ke koi aur aurat itni achi tarha meray bachon ki tarbiyat na kar pati jitni inhon ne ki hai ![]()
when they fight they call each other tu
otherwise tussi ![]()
Re: How do you know...

I thought the point of the thread was how do you know that your parents love each other. Anyway. I think there is a difference between seeing affection between a couple out there in the world, vs your parents. Its kinda disgusting when you see your parents acting affectionate. Well, I guess its cute when they smile at each other, but when it gets more intimate, I think its gross.
Re: How do you know...
You find it gross if your father and mother hold hands?
What if he sits with his arm around her shoulders? Is that gross too?
Re: How do you know…
They don’t need to show. But the question is about your observations and how do you inference that they love each other. ![]()
Re: How do you know...
i would totally think that's cute...i dont see why one would find it gross....unless they are like a lil kid (or have the brain of one).
I dont think PCG was referring to that...perhaps she meant something a lil more intimate?
Re: How do you know…
exactly…id want my kids to see us being affectionate (of course w/in limits) so they know the home is filled with love…there wouldnt be any doubts.
Re: How do you know...
I'm using the term "intimate" for a reason. No need to write out details about my parents on the internet.
Re: How do you know...
:D
Re: How do you know...
I know they love each other because they fell in love and fought their families to marry each other..they knew each other for like five years before getting married. I do see them holding hands but my mom gives him looks if he tries to hug her in front of us and even smacks his hand.
Re: How do you know...
everytime my mother tells my dad something that is never left undone . same goes for my mother.
my father never asked my mother to make food . whenever he sees that there's no food . he makes it himself or gets it from bazaar.
he always asks my mother to take much care of herself and never overdo things.
everytime anyone complained from my dad's family he always cleared it all himself.
Re: How do you know…
what a beautiful thread
