Please look for sideways movement at the neck.
If his neck moves more then his tongue, then an Indian no doubt.
I think its more common in South Indians and South Indians can be recognized by their features. Problem does happen between North Indians and Pakistanis from the East side of Pakistan. Balochis and Pathans have distinct features, but for Punjabis. Sindhis and Mahajirs, it could get a little hard to differentiate them from a Delhi or Eastern Punajb person.
if they don't know the difference between "then" and "than", "lack" and "lake", then a Pakistani, most likely a Punjabi, no doubt..
hell no, I can understand then and than .. but no one writes lack as lake (pronunciation is a different thing all together, in that dept. we all are in the same boat)

but anyone can make that mistake....anyone who doesnt have a good grasp of the lang.....for one i know that in africa people make such mistakes and some dont know
only if I can say Jai Hind at this time but UZ is going to come and kill me for that
Joke aside, I am still in the process of improving my English and thank god I did not learn my English from the songs of Bappi lahiri but watch American sitcoms I am not kidding but it really helped my English. I know X2 would say that I still make mistakes but he did not see my english 15 years ago then
Re: how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?
People from Northern India and Pakistanis look the same because Pakistan is situated besides Northern India.
Southern Indians are dark skinned since the weather is hotter, and they didnt have contact with Persians, Arabs, Greeks and Turks who infused their blood within Northern Indian Peoples.
India and Pakistan are too diverse to have a generic Indian to be compared to a Generic Pakistani

The weather is hotter in Pakistan even hotter in Iran and the Arabian peninsula. South India is quite tropical compared Northwest India and Pakistan, which is not only hotter but semi-arid too.
Re: how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?
as far as my geography goes.....teh more nearer we are to the equator, the warmer(or hotter??) our climate becomes.....and i guess sound india is a lot more nearer the equator than pakistan or middle east....i do agree though, that some parts of middle east have a very hot climate....
Re: how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?
Sometimes its so easy to tell apart whether someone is Indian, Pakistani or Bangladeshi! Not sure how though…I usually base it on skin colour, height, features etc but then I could be wrong (usually I’m right though) haha
