how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?

Re: how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?

the worst experience i had in india was not the unwelcoming part from the hindus ... but the absolute disrespectful language, the abuse i had to face from the muslims of india.

Pakistan is somewhat homogeneous and India is too heterogeneous.

You have to be very specific in your comparison of "Pakistani" and an "Indian".

You will only find differences between a Pakistani punjabi and an Indian Manipuri or from Meghalaya (states from north East)......

There are no specific so called "Indian" traits.....Indians in every region are different....southerners are different than northerners and north east and east is totally different......

So when people say, Indians smear coconut oil, please be specific which Indian are you talking about????? And not all Indians use mangal sootra and sindoor, there are more muslims in India than may be half of middle east.......

India is a country of too many different cultures, languages and religions. So there is no specific Indian culture or indian way of life...majority of north Indians can only communicate with majority of south Indians in English, there is no other way of communication or language

Re: how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?

The average UK born and brought up Pakistani and Indian look v.similar, generally Pakistani girls do tend to dress more conservatively but if u put a random UK Indian and a Pakistani in identical clothes I bet hardly anyone here would be able to tell which was which despite them saying they can.. All this rubbish about Pakistanis being fairer, if that was true how come Brits can't tell the difference?? Yes, of course there are really really fair-skinned Pakistanis but there are also fair-skinned Indians as well, the features tend to be similar, someone already mentioned the noses.. a lot of Indians have that prominent nose as well whilst like some Pakistanis there are some that don't.. Ppl who think the way to tell is that Indians are darker obviously don't know many of them in real-life, like other desis they come in many different shades.. it's pretty ignorant to try and make out otherwise..

Farah,

Thats not been my experience. Most Indian Muslims I met were friendly, even when there personal circumstances weren't that good. I talk of rickshaw pullers in Jaipur and Agra.

And on this forum, the Indian Muslims have been a voice of reason.

LOL LOL LOL LOL

you're actually right

LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL LOL

well, i think its a no brainer to figure out the pakistani and the indian

looks, dress .. overall demeanour in many cases

talking totally gives it away

Re: how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?

Khalistanis look just like us if they're clean-shaven and don't wear turbans.

But other Indians look completely different from us.

Re: how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?

whenever you're in a room where an Indian has been, you know it.. their food and it's stench follows them around from place to place.

whenever you're in a room where a Pakistani auntie has been, you know it.. her gossip and phatta hua dupatta follows her from place to place.

Khan, What is the difference between ancestry and descent? How did you come to the conclusion that lower caste Hindus adopt names like Qureshi and Gilani? How about Sayyid etc?

regards,

bob

Re: how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?

dont know why indian gauravites suffer from inferiority complex cause of their looks and then make idiotic baseless statements.Pakistan is a central asian state that makes the complexion more fairer than south asians that is india bangladesh and srilanka and i know its nothing to proud of cause Allah made us this way and Allah knows the best. All we are saying is Pakistani’s are far more fairer than Indians.

watch the map and chill

Re: how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?

Some of the comments in this thread smell like racism to me, which I highly deplore.
It is not the color of skin that makes one better than others, rather it is how much development there is in the country which makes the difference.
Being a citizen of civilized Egypt was better than being a white barbarian European, for example.

I think Pakistan is a mixed Central Asian/ South Asian state. We have people of all colors and races.

Re: how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?

@khoji
yea i agree people from northern india including indian punjab and occupied kashmir fall in central asia so that explains the similarity in complexion.

Pakistan is sometimes referred as south asian cause there is no country below it.If we see it according to longitudes and latitudes it is in central asia.

When I said Northern Indians then I was not just talking about Indian Punjab but also about Dehli, Lucknow, etc.
People in North India and Eastern Pakistan (Punjab/ Sindh) are mixed people. Therefore they have different shades of skin.

Agreed.

The only parts of Pakistan that claim to be ethnically/culturally Central Asian are NWFP and the Northern Areas. Punjab, Sind, and most of Pakistani Balochistan are very much a part of South Asia.

Re: how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?

no they arent.entire Pakistan is in central asia.^^

There is nothing good or bad about being either South-Asian or Central-Asian...

...But it is somewhat true that Pakistan (and Occupied-Khalistan) have a strong Central-Asian influence compared to the rest of South-Asia...

...This is evident from the distinct phenotype of the people from this region.

...The reason for this is that the center of Vedic civilisation was Pakistan (and parts of NW-India) and the Vedic-Aryans, Iranian, Dardic and Nuristani people all come from the same roots and are related.

The people of Pakistan (and parts of India directly bordering us) are at least partially descended from the Vedic-Aryans, most Indians on the other hand simply adopted the Vedic religion and Indo-Aryan languages.

Re: how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?

Most Indians do not look like the Indian celebs who look the way they do because of foreign descent (Pathan, Parsi, Jewish etc.), because they're Punjabi or because of makeup etc.

It's such a shame that the average Indian-look-alike is not given the chance in Indian cinema except as background dancers.

That map shows India highlighted as “Central Asia” too. So according to you, South Asia refers only to Sri Lanka then?

Re: how do you differentiate between a pakistani and an indian?

One day I was working on the store, a guy came and thats what he asked,

“do you sell condoms for indians” :omg:

I laughed so hard, he quickly left.
