It seems like suicide bombings have become daily occurrence in Pakistan, and there is simply no way to stop waking human bomb. So here is my suggestion. Its not my idea originally, but it was put froward by Prof. from Howard Law School.
His suggestion was that govt should make example of families of suicide bombers by confiscating their land, imprisoning them, trying them for the crime of contributing to the murder, and if found guilty, executing them.
Furthermore, Muslims schoolers must declare suicide as haraam, and no nam-e-Janaza should be offer for a suicide bomber & his/her remains should be cremated. This is the only was we can stop suicide bombings in Pakistan, and this is the only only weapon we have against these killers.

terrible idea. hasnt worked in Israel, you end up giving more, justified ammo to the other side, and make monsters out of yourselves. the moment the govt does something like that, I atleast, will stop supporting it, and so will Im sure a whole lot of others.

well for them it is Jihad innit ? I was reading newspaper and come across a news in which Umay Hasan still claims that what ever they have done , Islam and shari.aat allow that .
It is time now we should clear our concept about what is Jihad n what is not ! lads will any one put a new thread n c what our fellas say on this?

you cant trust these mullah. As much the problem in themselves. Not seen one denouncing terrorism, current suicide bombings or the actions of terrorists inside mosques.
We are in a battle for Islam and I dont know which side our so called Islamic leaders are on.

Kill the leadership.. . kill all the mullahs of that particular area from where that sucideri is from, take control of their mosque and madrasas ... and then we will see how long this mullahs will carry out these attacks.. iam sure two or three examples will straighten these mullahs

Atack their funding, and go after their leadership and their training... Have to find ways to assasinate their leadership quietly...

Why there is no Fatwa against Suicide bombing? and I don't mean Fatwa from a well intentioned small 'liberal'( common sense) mosque; I mean Fatwa on the scale of Imam-Qaba issuing the edict Or the head scholar at Al-Azhar University in Egypt?
Yeah, I see you all shaking your heads-not happening in our life time :(

That’s the first time I hear about it- Wish it is known on a much much bigger scale, like running this as a Public service Announcment on all the TV chanels state owned or otherwise

Pakistan govt needs to air the statements of the ulema on this... The would be suicide bomber should know that he is heading straight for hell, make him think twice...
If Al Azhar has said it, the terrorists dont know it, so its up to the Pak govt to make them find out some how.

yea its pretty easy to discredit any molana who comes out against suicide bombing.
that said quite a few prominent ones have. al-azhar has been politically compromised, but many others havent been. the perception that all mullas are supportive of this stuff is ill informed and actually serves to perpetuate the same wrong perception supporters of suicide bombers have i.e. all religious folk support this.
before you say the pakistani govt should propagandize these fatawa, can you tell me how many of you actually looked into which molanas have condemned suicide bombing before saying molanas never would?

Eradicate illiteracy and poverty. It is a long term solution but addresses the core issue.
If people are educated about Islam, they would know the meaning of Jehad
If money is reaching the poor and unemployment rate is decreased then people will have less time to think about extreme measures.

Well, if enough Mullahs and sheiks say it, eventually it might creep into the mind of the would be suicide bomber, that perhaps, he isnt going to be shaheed.. Instead he will die a murderer and burn in hell.. Even a glimmer of doubt is enough...
