I am amazed how much time Indians spend thinking of Pakistan. They always compare themselves to us.I don’t see Pakistanis doing that.
I know many nice Indian people. But at times when you get to know them well, they then start making slightest comparions like comparing the superior quality of the Indian embassy as oppossed to the Pak embassy in one city.
Even “Indian pride” is really based on fantasies.Say like “We have the best doctors in the world” which is total non-sense.They have the highest HIV cases on Earth. And their so-called “ancient history” is really Pakistani history. They claim Sindhi history to be Indian history.Over the generations,Indian imperialists have convinced hte rest of the world to believe that all of South Asia was “India” when infact the word “India” was never heard of by any South Asian. The word “Hind” “Indus” and “India” all come from Sindhu which is Sindh,Pakistan.
Niether did the people of South Asia ever constitute a “nation” ever.
“Ancient Indian” civilization which is actually the stolen history of Pakistan.Where is Muhinjidarro?Where is Multan? Who are the descendants of the people of the Indus? Ofcourse it’s the people of Pakistan.
Coming back to Indian pride they seem to be obsessed with a slight economic growth rate and have again jumped into excitement about being “more developed” than Pakistan or becoming a “superpower”.
Even despite the fact that India’s poor population outnumbers Pakistan’s entire population.Despite the fact that India has the pooeest population on Earth.
Even Anume Bhatty Roy (an Indian) stated “India is not a superpower,it’s simply super-poor”.
Even after falsely claiming the entire history of the subcontinent as “Indian” they then spend their time trying to give Pakistan a negative image while taking credit for the accomplishments of ancient Sindhis and Punjabis.
Ofcourse it is not to say all Indians are like that. It’s just sometimes a general mentality can flow around the thinking of an entire nationality.
This is the very first post of thread starter in this forum. He has already started comparing pakistan and india. and given by the content of his post, i think this is a multinick of one of the members here;)
and descedents of people of indus are not pakistanis. Pakistanis are more aryanized people, so obviously they are not the right full owners of that civilization. you are basically invaders. your civilization is somewhere else or it does not exist at all:D ....not interested in any of these debates further actually...:D
there's a saying, when u point a finger at someone, there are three pointing right back at you.
everyone has their national pride, and moreover this is all a matter of perspective. the other day i was telling my pakistani friend abt the improved public transportation i saw in india recently... all of a sudden he interrupted me and said "u know it's not like pak is that far behind, we have ..." and i'm sitting there blinking my eyes for the next 5 mins. finally i said, dude, chill, i wasn't comparing india to pak, i was comparing india of 2007 to the india of 1990s when i last lived there. i have noticed that a lot of ppl engage in a game of one-upmanship, it's ridiculous.
reasonable/sensible ppl are always in the minority... i wouldn't judge all of pakistan based on the rhetoric some ppl spew on the GS fora.
Even Anume Bhatty Roy (an Indian) stated "India is not a superpower,it's simply super-poor".
You come across as a very learned person. You seem to have great grasp of not only history & geography but also literature. I mean, how many people would have heard of Anume Bhatty Roy.
