If I am asked to think of the most irreligious societies, the Scandinavian countries would come to mind.
If I am asked to think of societies with the least inequalities, least corruption/ crime, the Scandinavian countries would again come to mind.
I am a theist and need the crutches of a religion.

I have no doubt that there can be social stability without religion. but hedonism does not equate to chaos, one can be a decent citizen while being very immoral. and that is true of scandinavian countries. they were one of the first to legalize gay marriages, sexual promiscuity is a stereotype of that region. IMO scandinavian countries are the best examples of hedonistic culture emerging from irreligion.
