Please help me out!! I feel like I look pindu compared to other pakistani women. I'm 25 but feel like I look like my mum already. I'm an Australian-born Pakistani, wear shalwar-kameez no western clothing. I think I'm too simple. I live in a hot climate (similar to Karachi but much hotter) and can't wear good clothes, or make-up all the time. Although I just been to Pak and all my lawn suits are Gul Ahmed or Al-Karam. All my shopping I did in Liberty ( bareeze, aleeze, saleem fabrics). I only wear 2 diamond rings all the time, no earrings, necklace or any other jewellery. I get my hair cut, it's long and layered,
I don't know what I'm doing wrong to look like a Pindu all the time. Any tips??
P.S. I do not wear sneakers with shalwar-kameez!
Yes, that is a problem too. I don't know any stylish tailors in Pak, i get them done from a family friend in a smaller city.
How would you ladies define non-pindu?? Do you need to have a hair straightener to not look pindu??
You don't sound too paindu to me! But mabey it is because you wear shalwaar kameez all the time and you live in Australia? In Pakistan, this would be no big deal but mabey this makes you unconsciously feel paindoo since it is not the norm in the "west" ? I'm not saying change your look completely and dump the shalwaar kameezes ... if that is what you feel comfortable wearing then continue wearing them! But mabey instead of shalwaars, have trouser pants sewn? Or you can start wearing jeans with some gorgeous kurta tops and dupatta around your neck???
My mom actually started feeling this way for some weird reason a few years back ...she wore shalwaar kameez all the time no matter what. But now only wears it around the house or going to some ones house or a function. She switched to wearing western clothing more commonly but these clothes were still extremely modest. Tunic shirts with jeans... dupattas always around the neck, loose trousers with a longer shirt, etc.
Little things like matching accessories (shoes and handbag) make a big difference in an outfit too. :)
Invest in a a stylish pair of sunglasses! Don't even need to wear eyemakeup when you go out.. just throw those on and you will feel like a million bucks.
You can straighten your hair if you want to go for the sleek straight hair look but you can also throw some product into your hair and leave it naturally wavy/curly! The product will just control the frizziness and puffiness and enhance the natural beauty of your hair.
Hope these tips help! :)
