I am pregnant with the second baby and I feel really weak feeding my girl all the time

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

Try adding rooh afza to bottle. Sometimes kids get attracted by colour. Also try when she is in semi sleep cuz kids in that state dont have mch energy to refuse. I m on the same boat as u ie introduci g bottle so i pray it goes well n pray f

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

Rooh afza…???seriously…???

OP..How old is your daughter…?

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

yeah please dont add rooh afza or chocolate syrup or sugar.. she will get used to it and thats all she would want then.. dont even go that route.

which bottle are you trying? try using tommee tippee bottles.. its shaped closest to mother’s breast and some children just prefer that. If she doesnt take bottle, try sippy cup- she may just take that on but dont add anything to the milk.

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

If she is around 1, try sippy cup…i love Nuk’s beginner’s cup.

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

Chaachi good luck to you. Lil one just turned 9 months. I dont think its the bottle she has the real issue with
I think she doesn’t like the milk and honestly enfamil does taste and smell so weird. Triggers nausea for me
I have tried giving formula in sippy cup, normal cup n diff bottles. I love bfeeding n I sooo wanted to feed her until she turned two :"(

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

Talk to your doctor about mixing cows milk with the formula. Maybe one part cows milk plus three parts formula? She’s almost 1 so it may be ok? My kid started on cows milk at 11 months because we were travelling and didn’t want to take tons of formula with us. Or try another formula? Nestlé Goodstart has good reviews too.

And definitely do NOT add in any Rooh Afza or sugar anything into it!

But also, look into your own diet and see what you can do to up your iron and protein intake and stay strong so you can continue breast feeding as you want to.

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

Well my hubby dnt like formula milk and my doc aswell. I hv introduced milk to my son at 4 month but he didnt take. Then i started to givehim shake of mango or banana without suger. He is happy with it. As there is no mango any more, so i hv started to give him milk with rooh afza.
And he is takng happily. Baby who drink bf never take milk. U hv to add rooh afza. Many mothers hv stggested me same. Try it.

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

try pumping and giving your own milk in a sippy cup or bottle first. Once she’s started accepting that, begin gradually adding formula, slow changing the proportion so eventually you have more/all formula.

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

My son gave me hard time too but I tried giving him fresh juices in his bottle n milk with a drop of rooh afza…once he got used to the bottle feed I gradually stopped b’feeding coz I was feeling really weak after feeding him

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

Let someone else feed her with the bottle and leave the room! It has started working for my baby!

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

Also wen u give her bottle enter the bottle from side of mouth rather than front center. I think babies who arent used to bottle get scared of it too.
Also enter it at an angle that after she gets a good grip of nipple only then mill would start flowing. If milk is already flowing i think new to bottle babies get sxared of that too.
Y is rooh afza bad? I m not aware so plz inform.

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

It is too much sugar for kids. I started using ovaltine and complan around 9 months in small quantity.

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

Sorry but that is crazy. At 4 months old, your doctor suggested cows milk over formula?? Wth. As for mango, banana and Rooh Afza- they’re all very very high in sugar and should NOT be given to kids that young. Of course he’s “taking it happily”- he’s being dosed with huge amounts of sugar! Stop hanging out with these ridiculous moms and find a new doctor. And seriously, stop with the Rooh Afza!

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

Rooh afza and babies dont mix!!! Artificial coloring, sugar levels, the fakeness of it all… Common sense ladies…common sense!!!

:hayaa:

To the OP: breastfed babies have an advantage over formula drinking babies … They get to skip the bottle completely…and go straight for the sippy cup or a regular cup with a small opening… I’d say try that out.

By 9 months… Babies should be be making the teansfer to regular fresh milk anyays… If its too thick and baby gets constipation… Dilute it with water… But if not… Just give her cows milk. They are old enough to digest it.
Enfam
il is a horrible formula though… If u wanna stick to formulas… Try out Nan.

And if u still wanna try bottles instead of straw, sippy cup etc… Make sure the teat is right. A kid sucks and pulls out milk from the breast… Often bottle teats have the milj just ooze out making the baby choke on the milk flow… so make sure the flow is right… Tommee tippee makes great imitatiob teats that resemble a mother’s nipple …

But honestly
Id avoid all this rocket science and just try to have the baby drink milj from sippy cup or with straw. You can even find sippee cups that have flow regulators and baby can lie down and drink. Thats what my daughter uses. She quit the bottle at 8 months. Her sippy cups r by playtex.

For all those of you who are giving rooh afzah toyour babies, I shudder to think what your dental bills will be when your child’s teeth start decaying and rotting because of all the sugar and artificial garbage pumped into them during their infancy.

Not to mention all the threads that will start “my kid only liked sweet stuff…my kid won’t eat anything…I’m worried about my kids nutrition”

My god, why do you mothers all look for the “quick fix”? Just pump the baby full of sugar…yea, sounds like a great solution to me too.

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

Thanks a lot for the suggestions ladies. Okay one thing, my chalako maasi has absolutely no issues handling the flow of the bottle etc cuz when I give her water in the same feeder she has absolutely no issues taking it. I have tried giving her formula in sippy cup too. She doesn’t like that milk ugh. I have heard bad reviews about enfamil from a few other moms too. I will try giving her some other formula. What’s better? Nido or nan?

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

Try nan first… You only have 4 more months to go… And then make the switch slowly to fresh milk.

No point in nido.

Re: how can I make my breastfed baby accept bottle?

Khawa y not nido? M asking cuz my doc recommended it.
