Wow topic kahan se kahan chala gaya. Yeh religion forum to nahi. I mentioned some points in another thread but i will say many groups have been offended by bollywood/hollywood/lollywood stereotypes. Muqa bhai makes a good point about bollywood not showing even indian culture accurately. I thought janab was used in overdose but i like that word. Other than that i saw many positive stereotypes as well. But i don't want to give main scenes away.
What i dont understand is why someone calls a pakistani who likes bollywood movie "traitor" or liking "enemy." Why golgappay's name was made fun of and why she was called golmal also name of indian movie? Ok she probably makes good gol roti maal and all other maal. But if u think you make rectangular roti and she makes gol roti then isn't it better to ask her advice then make fun of her.
And if watching a movie or drama makes someone traitor then would that make me and my family traitors for watching pakistani dramas? Does it make all viewers of zindagi channel traitors? If pak singers like atif adnan and rahat are considered traitors by some for working in bollywood movies then is sunidhi chahuan (anjumann) , ankit tiwari, rekha bharwaj and harshdeep kaur ( bin roye) traitors for singing in pakistani movies? What about B4U, a bollywood company, which joined with hum tv to promote bin roye internationally?
Kya yeh sab bhi "traitors" hain? Is vishal bhardwaj a traitor for appreciating wrong number? Is siddarth malhotra ir srk a traitor for liking bin roye?..and list goes on.
Is it really patriotism to make fun of someone/judge someone because they have different views of movies/tv shows/music than you? its their eyes, their mind and their choice what they like. No one is making anyone watch anything. everyone is watching bollywood movies and pakistani dramas with their own choice.
Agar golgappay ko kisi ne traitor kaha to phir main bhi traitor hoon aur oopar ke yeh sab log bhi hain.
