Mirch: If job is not a problem & you don’t mind the cost of living…then you should move back to LA. Houston is amazing b/c of the booming economy & cost of living. No other big city is this cheap to live in. But if these two factors don’t matter to you…then based on your post, there’s no reason for you to stay in Htown.

I know 20 miles is not much for Texas, but maybe moving to Sugarland area will help?

I think he lives there for his job. Commute from Sugar Land to Katy is hell. I have to leave home at 5:00 AM to avoid traffic.

LA- great weather, melting pot of cultures and backgrounds. tons and tons of desis of all kinds and sorts. it is expensive though, unless you live in the outskirts like Corona/Riverside areas.

Houston- hot!

What? That is so not the definition of Houston. Houston has all that you have for LA above except its not expensive so in theory, Houston is better than LA.

You might want to visit again. Its changed into a big melting pot since the recession. Everyone is moving here because of the economy.

Sure.

Yep i used to live in Orange County and loved every minute of it. I still visit from time to time it is still awesome. Used to go to all the beaches and Solvang on my days off with my family.
