I was in Houston over the weekend. The trip was very busy and I had to go to Sabri Nihari for Iftaar. The food and everything was great but it was very saddening to see girls in tight jeans and short tops with no dupatta. Not only that, before and after iftaari, men and women greeting each other (their acquaintances) by shaking hands with the opposite genders. :-\
Next day on Sunday, before I left, I had to go get some paans for the family so I went to the Chat 'N Paan shop and a few Pakistani desi uncles and a couple of young boys (my age) were there eating, watching movies, and having fun :-\ I kew for a fact that they were Pakistani and Muslims because they were saying Salam to each other and talking in Urdu.
Other than that, it was a great trip but a very busy trip but a fun trip
waisay - btw, if they were shooshalizning after iftar - it reduces the intensity of the gunah - imagine if they had been shooshalizing and eating and chewing paans during the rooza
