The way things have worked in my household is that..my dad in bi-weekly basis gives certain amount of money for groceries and her needs. In addition to this, my parents would have joint account. Bills, mortgages etc. my dad himself takes care of it.
Insha'allah when xtron gets married. He would like to take care of bills, mortgages, groceries along with her needs. And if my wife worked then whatever hers is strickly hers. I would kill myself before i ask my wife to do something. I.e, pay bill or something like that...
