Re: housewife by choice?

Well, gonna have my baby soon inshAllah and i'm gonna have 3 years off untill he/she goes to full time nursery. I want to prioritise and devote my time and energy to my child rather than my career. I can carry on after, because its not all about me me me now.

Re: housewife by choice?

To the OP's question... no, I don't know any such girls and can't imagine why would someone stop working just to get to know their husband? He would be at work all day anyways.... you would probably be bored to death.

Re: housewife by choice?

I was working before i got married (in a corporate job :D ), left my job to get married and since Alhamd i had hte option to stay home, i did. I wanted to relax and just ease into married life. BUT i didnt want to just stay home idle so i started my masters. I now have a baby and my degree is going slow but i am almost done. This is my way of staying in the field.

And, i hope the OP doesnt think an anthro degree is a waste of time and unimportant. My undergrad is in Applied Mathematics and my masters will be in sociology. Let me tell you sociology is making a lot more sense than n dimensions, lol.

Re: housewife by choice?

How can someone FULLY relax after quitting their job UNLESS their hubby is super rich, has a fortune, and has enough for the wife IN CASE something happens to him?

If you all are in the middle class to middle upper class - you beter get your A** to work. No one has seen the future.

Re: housewife by choice?

I have degrees from major universities and have been working for seven years (married for five). Now that I am a mother, I'll be staying home to raise her and handle the home.
