I just went to Hotspot Islamabad recently and was very suprised to see a place like this in Pakistan. (I'm from London)
Its a nice hangout and they sell nice icecreams!
Coke\Pepsi is banned!! which is good!

Hey I went there a couple years back!! It's really nice, especially the entrace leading into it. Has a very nice comfy vibe to it.

excuse me? i dont see any nagee patangi. I do myself believe that one must protect children from seeing weird/obscene stuff but you can't stop having a normal life for that. Are you going to stop their tv too? i believe you live abroad, so dont most people wear even shorter and more skin showing clothes there!?! what do you do then?.
Married NY i am not talkin about you here but I really get pissed when i see all these desis who live a modern lifestyle abroad but when they come and see same happening in Pakistan they act like as if something alien is going on.

Ice cream khanay kay liyea Pakistan koi jaye...go to 71 continental st forest hills ny there is ice cream place. No moti tazi khwateen there...

i understand maham ,mai sirf yeh batana chah rahee hoon kai kiaa yeh aik islamic country ko zaib dayta hai,,is mai baat yeh nahe kai mai bahri raheette hoon aur bachounko kitna roukongee daikhnay say ,,yahan kai lougoun ka tou culture yeh hai,,per hamaray country ka tou culture nahee na...waisey app suub ki jo marzee hai souchayin...laikin mujhy jo laga wo keh rahee hoon..

its the wrong kind of feel... ppl who dont have kids or dont care abt their kids wont feel it hon...
we tell our kids desi culture is this and that and they go there and say haan! have u been fooling us....

i understand that from an Islamic country you expect different...but Hotspot is an ice-cream parlour catering to a certain section of society who do want such an environment...its not like every ice-cream parlous are like that. So if you dont feel comfortable in such an environment than by all means you can go to some other parlous too which are quite decent and have better tasting ice-cream. I think i have had ice-cream from hotspot sitting inside only once or twice and i thought it was lil crowded for my taste so i neva went again but have done take-aways quite a few times. So it really depends on you...if you dont feel comfortable with it you may and you should try different ice-cream parlours.

that comment was really uncalled for...why do we desis have this sick mentality that if some1 thinks different to you and actually even provide reasons to you still they either dont care or are stupid...
You tell your kids what good and whats bad...you dont tell them to blindly follow, do what they see...ofcourse every culture is going to have their goods and bads. The first thing you perhaps need to do, since from your comments it appears you have kids and you think you care about them too, is to tell your kids the truth.
