Hotels in Islamabad

I’ll be staying in Islamabad for two nights this August insha allah. I’ve searched around on the Internet and have found four reasonable hotels (not too expensive):

  1. Holiday Inn
5000.0 (PKR) per night. plus tax

  2. Envoy Continental Hotel
5000.0 (PKR) per night. plus tax

  3. Best Western Hotel Islamabad
    From 5,172.90 PKR per night.

  4. Continental House
    From 3000 Rps per night.

Islamabad Guppies, which hotel/area would u reccommend?

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

cm_2000 i say go stay with a friend and i'll take the check for Rs.10,000 that you'll be saving on hotel as my advise fee :D

on a serious note, Holiday Inn and PC is good!

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

^ PC is beyond my budget. Holiday Inn seems OK. Unfortunately, I don't have any friends or relatives in Islamabad :(

How about Envoy or Continental House?

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

THE MALL just near to PC .................................

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

really? i thought PC and Holiday inn cost around the same, go with holiday inn then!
sorry don’t know about Envoy or Continental House

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

I need more opinions before I make a final decision.

ISLAMABADEES' where r u?

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

Holiday inn is gud

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

^ thanks.

I want to save mysself money and go for something more cheaper e.g. Guest Houses such as Continetal house, How would u compare the service at a guest house to a cheap hotel? What is the main difference?

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

guest houses are usually of lower quality, not as clean or professional. Basically a cheap room. You can bargain with envoy continental, that 5000 rupee a night price is just what they put for foreigners who dont bargain. Im sure if their not busy you can bargain it down to even half that, to 2500 a night, especially if your staying for a longer time tell them your staying for so many nights and to give you their best rate inclusive of taxes (taxes are super high)

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

^ they quoted 5000rps +15% tax, Continetal House seems ok, no?

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

margalla motel is nice.....

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

seems way too expensive to me. if you have an Overseas Pakistani Membership you can get 50% off at serena or mariott I believe

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

I’ve decided to settle for guest house stay instead -because it’s cheaper.

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

Good decision. Spare a 100 bucks for the cab driver and he will carry you to the best guest house. Otherwise he may take you to the guest house where he is commissioned to bring customers.

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

there is a guest house by the name of Serenity in F10 go for it

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

Embassy Lodges on Club road is pretty decent and would cost you around Rs 3000/-

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

i guess u have exp with that kind-a-situation:D

Re: Hotels in Islamabad

last year i stayed at a hotel in islamabad and it costed me 2000 per night for an air-conditioned room (u have cheaper options if u dont want an ac)....
it was not so good but i just needed a place to sleep so was good for me....
unfortunately i dont recall the name of the hotel....
am sure u can get cheaper hotels than what u mentioned above; unless if u r really looking for 5 star hotels....
