I agree teggy, but the people who committed the murders in your post suffered from high intensity stress, lack of control and incandescent rage of jealousy and mental deteriation. It had nothing to do with **restoring a family honor ala islamic ways **based on a female choosing her right to live freely as she wants.
Honor killing is done in the name of non islamic ways the woman chooses to live and the judgment of this act is done by the males of her family who are fundamental in their faith.
A man can rape a woman and kill her in islamic countries , that is murder. And he will recieve death penalty or such.
Honor killing is murdering a daughter , sister , niece etc for not wearing the hijab and not being muslim enough. Honor killing is 3 months in prison. Note the punishment , murder versus honor killing.
