Hi Guys!
So the kind of honeymoon we are looking for is beach/relaxation + somewhere with a good night life/city life.
We both would enjoy the beach and relaxing but we would get bored pretty quickly. I know we would want to go out and stay out late at night in a city too enjoying dinners and nightlife!
Any ideas?
We will be flying from Toronto.
I would say the budget for the whole trip to be $4000 (canadian) or £2500ish for around 5-7 days for the both of us.
Any ideas?

I would go with Cabo San Lucas or Playa Del Carmen in Mexico. I love Mexico.. I've been there several times. Hawaii's also a good option.

I got married in Oct '12 and we went to Gran Canaria in the Canary Islands for a week. It's a beach holiday but not too touristy, so there weren't too many nungay-patangay people walking round the beaches (which I HATE) so we could enjoy ourselves. Should be within your budget too.
Dubai, barcelona, miami tick all.those boxes

Ooh have fun! Hubby and I just got back from Mauritius and we absolutely loved it! I wanna go back. Where will you guys be staying - north or south of the island?
To the OP - Ibiza, Spain is the place to be for partying! You could do a mix of Barcelona + Ibiza. I would actually suggest South of Spain if you also wanted sightseeing because South of Spain is gorgeous.
I don't think you guys are looking for an all-inclusive resort type of deal because that might not allow much for dinners outside and partying at nights. I would suggest Sydney, but that might not fit in your budget? So check out somewhere in Mexico or Hawaii maybe. Cabo San Lucas, I've heard, is awesome.

Given you have 5-7 days, you want to maximize your time enjoying rather than in transit. Especially if you’re leaning closer to 5 days. I’ve heard excellent things about Cancun. You could splurge on a really nice resort, and the I hear the nightlife there is really nice. The good thing is that the flight is only about 3 hours from Toronto. I’ve also heard Aruba has stunning beaches and an amazing nightlife.
Miami is also great for beaches and nightlife. I’d say South Florida/Caribbean is an ideal location to get to from Toronto. Awesome weather and minimal time spent travelling.

I guess it depends on what kind of night life you’re into 
Cabo San Lucas is very nice…been there several times and while I enjoyed the stay at the resort…the city didn’t have much to offer except drinking/dancing. Probably not my type of “honeymoon” destination.
I would prefer the honeymoon to be much more memorable…somewhere exotic…Seychelles or Bali…but then that means quite a bit of travel time.
To be honest…there really isn’t anything truly exotic on this side of the planet.

I went to Barbados and loved it! We didn't stay at the all inclusive resort so we did alot of travelling outside the resort and it was sooo good. The people in Barbados are SUPER friendly and very courteous (most men would stop to let us pass them even though the sidewalks were big enough to accomdate everyone). The food was amazing (my husband doesn't love fish but because it was fresh and yummy, he loved it).
Night life depends on your resort. Many resorts have a decent nightlife... and Barbados offers alot too. For exampleee... every Friday night there's a huge party that happens.. it's a street party and pretty much everyone comes there (most if not all resorts have shuttles that take you to the party)... they have food, dancing/music, local vendors selling arts and crafts etc. It was pretty cool to see the local culture :)

Oooh and we flew from Toronto too. I think it was about a 5 hour flight and we were also on a time crunch (had to be back in a week for a wedding in Chicago). We didn't go for fancy dinners outside the resort but had some really yummy lunches out on the streets!
We did a mix of stuff.. sooo we went on a cruise that had lunch on the boat, snorkeling, etc. We checked out their local cave, went to the downtown area
Depending on your resort and how many excersions you do, you're probably looking at around $5,000. Might be able to get $4,000 too :)
