Because there's different social norms for different groups of people. Talking about a honeymoon with gora people isn't considered weird or besharam; I would NEVER have anything that advertises in a more desi setting because that's not talked about. There's nothing wrong with either groups but the expectations and norms are different
Yep that's so true, gora people have different social norms to desis... Iv got plenty if gora frds and when ever I get invited to a gora party all guests are expected to bring something to contribute towards the party (snacks, drinks, foods ect..) imagine telling desis to contribute towards a party expecting then to bring snacks and stuff for YOUR party's... You would get so much basti from then dear old auntie it would be non stop!!! In my eyes asking for a fund for the honeymoon will be same as asking for snacks and stuff, desi people mostly gift money at weddings anyways so maybe it would be better to see how much you get from cards and stuff and then pay the difference yourself for the honeymoon. Either way, hope all turns out well for you :)
