Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

Queer, I think homosexuals like to show off their behavior in public because they want to make it KNOWN that they're different, and they want to SEE people accept it.

Look, you might be into some sort of kinky type heterosexual sex, but do you go flaunting it about (general "you") in public? No, its personal and private, right? So, why can't homosexuals keep it to the bedroom?

If a homosexual goes out there and tries to be a part of society, he/she blends in. No one refuses them jobs, etc. No one ridicules them. But when they reveal what their sexual life is, then they do get discriminated against.

You might say they have the right to talk about their homosexuality and not get penalized for it. That's fine. But when I go job hunting, I dont bring my family or my boyfriend up. I certainly wont be bringing my husband up after getting married.

Profession on one side, and personal life on another. Keep it divided.

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

I didn’t mean it as an attack on an emotional level. You see, I don’t see homosexuality as an identity, or anything more than a way of performing a sex act. So if I’ve come across as offending a sense of identity, or belittling it…I think you should perhaps take issue with the fact that I simply don’t see homosexuality is a legitimate basis for an “identity”. Now, we can debate that untill we’re blue in the face, but the sex act IS what people make issue of.

So, functionally speaking…why is someone with an IQ below a certain point “retarded”…or “challenged”…yet someone who can’t perform statistically normative reproductive functions somehow okay? There is a functional problem here, biologically speaking. That is what my analogy was inteneded to point out.

YES! In general, I can’t walk around with my penis sticking out of my pants…I’ll get arrested. What ticks me off to no ends is that at Gay Pride parades (where this is a common sight) in Toronto, the police simply give in and look the other way.

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

What are you talkign about?

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

PCG, please explain to me where in his professional life does your average Joe Gay drag in his bedroom behavior. parades happen once a year, they are meant to be a showcase of diversity for everyone to notice the differences.

in your face sexuality is tasteless to most of us - be it homo or hetero (baywatch anyone?); and is plausibly a legitimate target for ridicule. but to say someone must be punished for being attracted to the same sex isnt. same goes for trying to "straighten" the person so that he fits current social heterosexual norms.

pico, sexuality is a part of what one is for most people. and when gay folks are treated bad for being so, it becomes an identity for them to unite under. otherwise, gays come with all the cultural and social banners ( eg. republican homosexual association, muslim homosexuals).

and nudity is definitely not a homosexual monopoly.

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

Science has been able to produce a mammal without sperm but with two female eggs and while this not possible within humans today that may not be the case in the furture.

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

OMG... Gays are upset.

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

^
What do you say to that? Very childish.

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

…and so both homosexuality and heterosexuality will become non-normative? Unless there is explicit gene manipulation (assuming that sexuality is completely genetic), I doubt it.

At best this simply makes the issue irrelevant, as if we rely on machinery rather than copulation to reproduce, there will then be no hetero or homosexuality. That’s a topic best left for sci-fi novels.

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

For what purpose? To not be treated badly anymore? For “help”? For understanding? Or for legitimacy?

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

Science turns Sci-Fi into reality all the time friend.

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

The same reasons the civil rights movement had parades.[/size]

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

what’s so childish about it? please, do not get upset :flower1:

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

Just like “War of the Worlds”?

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

Are you suggesting that a refusal to accept homosexual sex as “normal” is somehow akin to the seggragation of blacks?

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

OMG.. child molestor mullahs from cafe are here. :flower1:

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

OMG someone’s Dung is stinking now :hehe:

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

I’m suggesting gays want equal rights and to not be discriminated against. .

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

^ if they keep their mouse in the house, no one will discriminate against them.

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

And if women would just stay in the kitchen.

Re: Homosexuality and punishment of Qaum-e-Lut

I’m well aware of the political agenda…the question was is this political struggle due to abuses that are comporable to that of seggregationist America? Pray tell what closet did the blacks have the luxury of hanging out in?
