I went to a gym for 1 month when I was around 20. Never been again. I do all my workouts at home - free weights 4 times a week in evenings with cardio on same days before work (bike, treadmill, rowing machine). On my so called rest days I do yoga in the morning and spend 90 odd minutes boxing/hitting heavy bag in the evening. I also play football at least once a week with the boys as well as squash and badminton.

warm up
Can't you do that by simply stepping outside on a hot afternoon?
Re: Home Workout
check out this channel … https://www.fitnessblender.com/ they have really good exercises which can be done at home.
You can also buy some basic weights/bands and do P90X but its some hardcore workout.
Re: Home Workout
Doorway pull-up bar. You can get one for under $30. There’s a lot you can do with it even if you can’t do pull ups just yet. I can’t exactly do what these guys https://www.youtube.com/user/OfficialBarstarzz are doing but it’s good inspiration material .
Also I’ve been trying to do a handstand since forever. Still can’t balance myself on my hands but kicking off the ground is still fun. Hopefully I move away from the wall soon.
Re: Home Workout
Usual guys workout, not bad. Do you have gym equipment at home?
I assume you have got full gym room at home?
Football, squash, badminton kind sporty person, you don’t need any gym workout.
It has been around 3 years when I first heard about P90X, i never done it. I have also heard it can cause injury because it’s powerful.
Interesting stuff for guys
Re: Home Workout
Any good abs workout videos to do at home or gym?
Re: Home Workout
Girls can do the same workouts as guys. My sister had the same attitude as you; not wanting to to pushups. She got around it though. According to her, she's gotten good at and pushups and is working on getting to her first pullup by doing dead hangs and negatives. These workouts burn calories and make you stronger. I don't see how that's not beneficial for girls. That said pullups are a difficult exercise as require a lot of upper body strength, which women don't naturally have. But you can train for it. Heck, even us men can't do them right off the bat. Only those who work to get them get them.
I will never understand people's focus on ab workouts. Pullups and pushups work your core also. And your abs show when your body fat drops below 12%(I might be wrong). Losing fat by creating a calorie deficit is the only way to make those abs visible.

you can modify it according to your body. There is one rule that you should always know about working out. Don't go heavy when you start. Focus on your form for first 1-2 weeks. Thats applicable to P90X too. You can try it and see if it helps. Buy the thing which @SaeedinPakistan mentioned and it will be helpful in P90X workout as well.
Re: Home Workout
I follow this lady for my home work outs. I like that she’s doing it with me and my flat belly swear by her work out. You just have to stick to it. Check out her other videos too, she has some pretty good ones on. Nothing too difficult for a starter or as you said in your above comments, it’s good for girls simple routine. If you don’t have weights at home (i use my brother’s old ones from when he was younger) just fill up huge water bottles for the time being and use them.
Re: Home Workout
I'm so glad I invested in a treadmill this year...I've been using it like crazy. I will start Pilates once I've lost another stone.
Re: Home Workout
Unclear last sentence. How heavy was it?
Re: Home Workout
^A lady might end up throwing one at you just for asking this.

I do planks but found it hard to do push ups, planks are one of the best, tones up your whole body. Guess I need to start doing them more often. And pull ups ? No way , don't think I can ever do that, i have seen guys do pull ups a lot at gym, that's their favorite workout i think. I wonder how they even hold the balance.
Re: Home Workout
P90X is more to do with home and I hardly workout at home on Sundays, usually gym person. Going to add more planks and push ups, might ask a trainee to help with pull ups :sigh:

I went on treadmill after a month today, stopped going as I was more focusing on cross trainers but loved it ,i felt fast blood circulation and my body sweats , felt so much relaxed.
Pilates, planks and squats would be very helpful.

Like they say, "No pain, no gain." You won't get results until you start challenging yourself. That's my two cents on fitness.
For push ups start with Knee pushups and then move to the regular version once you're strong enough. Pullups are tough. Start with negatives and keep working on them until you get your first one. It is going to take time though, depending on your strength level and weight. Doing other exercises for your upper back will help you get that first pullup also. Barbell rows, dumb bell rows, seated cable rows. Just make sure you're doing it with proper form or you're going to injure yourself.
Re: Home Workout
For pull ups if u r using wood plank make sure it is not rusty.
