Re: Need sum help or tips on Beauty matters?
I have killer black circles under my eyes and I dont know how to get rid of them. I get reasonable amount of sleep and I cant go out without applying a concealer... i use MAC (which makes the area look grey after application!!).
It makes me look run-down and tired 24/7.
Ive tried using Loreal's under eye corrective cream but all it seems to do is add shimmer to the under eye area, reflecting the light... causing a bright illusion rather than fixing the problem.
Pls help?
Hi Foz-eee-ah (like ur nick btw)
You've got d smae problem dat most asian gals have nowadays - its all due to lack of sleep and bad diet.
First things first improve ur diet, take appropriate vitamins if required, get plenty of sleep and drink loads of water.
Then try applying some eye cream (Avon do a great one, but cant remember its name) twice a day in gentle patting motion.
Also, try cooled cucumber slices and also give used teabags a try - trick is to place them on eyes and relax for 5-10mins at least three times a week - i know this helps releive the tired, puffy look.
Another thing that really helps dark circles is the 'eye massage' technique - you basically tap the 'under eye' are with your index fingers gently, this circulates the blood flow to the eye areas whichin turn helps the area look brighter and fresher. Do this for a few minutes at least twice a day.
And cover-up wise, Mac products are not all that - the colours of variety they have available are great, but i find their foundations and concealers dont really suit asian skin - they, as u say, make the skin look greyyish in colour. You should instead try the Clinique Concealer - i use a dab of it daily under my eyes, and it gives excellent coverage, without looking cakey and actually lasts all day. However, remember you should always seal any concealer/foundation with a dusting of pressed powder - i particulary like Rimmel's brand for this as it's a matte finish, lasts all day and doesnt look powdery.
Another thing which takes attention away from dark-circles are perfectly groomed eyebros and good skin condition. Threading for eyebrows is highly recommended for a good shape and for good skin, u shuld have a good cleansing/toning routine, treat urself to a monthly facial at least and maybe bleach your face once in a while to give it bit of a glow.
Hope that helps.
